Fenchurch opens the door to her computer room exhausted. Throws herself into the chair and idly pecks around on the keys.
“Zero, zero, zero, zero...” Pressing the same key she mumbles to herself “This is hopeless.. no connections whatsoever..” and nigh falling asleep at the computer Fenchurch starts drifting off “Aaah what if they find ooout... I am cutting this very very finely..”
Ping!
Fenchurch jolts awake. “Eek! That’s the sound it makes?”
Fenchurch looks amazed at this question. She had never actually expected anything to come through. She springs to life once the pieces connect themselves in her head
“A message! Haha! This really is from the big wide world! Yes Yes Yes YES!!!” She realises she still hasn’t answered the question and starts typing in a flurry.
Dear Anonymous,
Arkhonyets is a fat robot that moves like a spider, no humanising features to speak of. I’m not sure what to call it, it’s alive but it’s a robot and it’s never given me anything like pronouns or anything. It’s a bit overminded about tending to the archives you see. Very good at it too! Just tends to fob me off when I try to pry more information out of it.
It also helped me by giving me the parts to assemble this computer, but little does it know that I have done my own little modifications to this beaut! (That’s how I can communicate with you by the way.)
Overall I would say Arkhonyets is a rude robot who cares for nothing else but it’s dear little archives. Although to be fair I am that way about my own collections.
Hope to hear from you again! -Fenchurch, The Scribe.
Satisfied with her work, Fenchurch proceeds to sit patiently waiting for the next message to appear. Lots of time passes before Fenchurch succumbs to the exhaustion she entered with and falls asleep at the computer.
