OG text I fed it: My Very Dramatic Headcanon:

Thorne was in the Ferelden Circle when everything fell apart and demons started appearing. Between the tower falling into disarray and the Mage/Templar war their options became very limited. Only choice left was to become a Warden. Hurray.

They're casually Andrastian. They couldn't care less about the Dalish or their Gods. Spiritual debates? Leave them out of it.

They have no time (or energy) for bullshit. If they don't like you or don’t think you’re useful, your problems aren’t their problem. Period.

The Calling: They know it’s coming. It’s fine. Probably.

There is a Rivalmance. And it begins with Thorne bringing Davrin and the Lucanis on missions; because it makes sense. Two Wardens immune to the Blight, and Lucanis a professional assassin tagging along. If someone has to risk catching the Blight, Lucanis feels like the logical choice. I mean, if he can’t even handle Darkspawn what chance does he have against the Gods anyway?

Lucanis proves himself, though, and eventually, their missions give way to something else: Sparring at the Lighthouse. It can happen anywhere, at any time: It’s infuriating and unexpectedly… fun. For someone who hasn’t laughed or felt much of anything in years, it’s a surprising but welcome relief. Somewhere in the rhythm of their bouts, things begin to linger: a touch that stays a fraction too long, a glance that’s hard to shake. And then Thorne makes a shit decision that fractures whatever have been building between them. They still practice together, but it’s colder, and Lucanis begins to drift towards Neve. Just as well. It’s better if they keep focused. Spite doesn’t see it that way, however. The demon liked things as they were—when Lucanis and Thorne were aligned, with a common, clear goal. Watching Lucanis drift toward Neve and Thorne pull away makes no sense. Spite doesn’t understand it—doesn’t like it. And he won’t stand for it.

Closest Connections:

Davrin: A reliable brother-in-arms.

Lucanis: A professional they respect. Thorne finds his no-nonsense attitude refreshing.

Bellara: Has a total soft spot for her, but they come of as harsh more often than not when they talk to her.

Neve: They vibe, plain and simple. Thorne probably enjoys her subtle humor the most. But her affair with Lucanis makes things very messy.

Also:

Drinks tea. They don’t really have a favorite drink, but when they learn Lucanis detests it, insisting they love it becomes a fun way to irritate him. But when Lucanis starts bringing it to them more and more... Thorne are not sure what to make of that.

Magical focus: Lightning and fire? Yes please. Force push? Essential. And dematerializing across the battlefield in a flash of energy? Second nature. They’re a battle mage through and through, thriving in chaos. Wasn’t always like that, but it certainly works in these trying times.
