How do I find a relationship as good as yours and Ronnie’s? This is a question we get asked quite a bit and I wanted to take a moment to talk about some important points. First off, I feel like this question implies some sort of perfection, which is just not true. Our relationship isn’t wonderful because it’s perfect, it’s wonderful because there are ups AND downs, because we get to see who we are in conflict, we get to struggle together through hard times, and we get to problem solve and bust our asses as a team. Love is beautiful and free, but it is also work. (Of course, if it’s ONLY work, then there may be some things that need to be re-evaluated) . Secondly, a relationship is made of two (or more! Depending on your relationship) whole humans. Two individuals making a conscious choice to share an experience. Not two humans looking to merge into one blob of a being.
