Who Expects A Female ENTJ?

I hate the stereotype that arise for each personality type. I am an Alpha human, ENTJ to the max, annoying fast to take charge person. But I am also human. And I have human moments. And it’s so easy to lose track of the human bits.

ENTJs, I would like to think, can be emotional.

I know that I have waves of being stoic and being extremely emotional.

I also know that I am considered rather sensitive and understanding by my friend group. I am known for the no-nonsense answers, and the cutting sarcasm. But, I am also known as the most patient and most approachable friend when issues arise, as I am also the most nonjudgmental friend, as I know that everyone needs to improve, and it’s impossible to start that journey if you can’t even admit it.

People like to see leaders as evil. Most people like to think of their boss as evil and mean and inhuman. And, as ENTJs are the leader-type, it is natural for people to project their anger and hatred towards their bad bosses towards us.

It sucks.

But, I don’t think that all ENTJs are like that. I would like to think that I’m not evil. Actually, most of my friends tell me that I am the most patient and kindhearted person they know, because I choose to use my leadership qualities to build people up rather than build myself up, knowing that self-improvement is just part of that journey.

Well hey there! Lucky for you, my boyfriend is an INTP. I’ll share a brief story of my timeline with him, but nothing too big. I will start with that about 2 years ago, we became friends. I asked for his number (secretly because I did like him.. he fascinated me, especially at how he looked at the world and his intelligence). We talked everyday whether we saw each other at our robotics club or texted. We became best friends, and about a year later, we started dating. We’ve been dating for about a year, and things are getting better although it is a long distance due to college. (Yes, high school sweethearts).

Now that the paragraph is over, INTPs are interesting people. From my experience, they give off this serious, unemotional mask, but underneath it all, they are just these cuddly teddy bears with an incredible sense of humor, and they want someone to watch Interstellar with at midnight while eating cookies. They are incredibly intelligent and don’t care what others truly think of them. Yes, they can be lazy, and call us workaholics. ENTJs on the other hand... Our mask to the world and our true selves can be very similar. I have seen that INTPs are more emotional than ENTJs. Could this be the people I’ve met? Absolutely. ENTJs also have a tendency to work more and get in this zone while pushing people away. That has been me, and it has hurt my INTP. I do it unintentionally, but I’m assuming it happens with many ENTJs.

Now for the pros. An ENTJ and INTP relationship is amazing. You could be crying one minute from some breakdown you two have, and the next minute you’re either horny or are discussing some theory and are making a company together. (That happened to me). Although the ENTJ may want to go out to parties and have to drag along the INTP, they are good sports and clean up sharply, with a little fashion advice from the ENTJ of course. An INTP and ENTJ can create a loyal bond unlike any other. They are the ultimate couple who protect each other like siblings, have fun like best friends, and love like an old married couple. This is one couple I would always bet money on, but it could also be because I am biased about it. Any two types can truly work since everyone is different. No ENTJ-INTP couple will act the same. One may last while the other never works out. But honestly, it has a higher chance of working than not.

Personally, I have a hard time coping with a male ESFJ or female ESFJ. In my personal experience (remember I’m not saying all ESFJs), they take things too personal if they want an honest answer. For example, I know an ESFJ and she asked me a question and wanted my honest opinion on if I wanted to go someplace. I told her no, it’s boring, but if you want to go, I’ll go with you. She was sad towards me the rest of the afternoon. It’s things like that, that makes me have a difficult time working with them. I have only been in one relationship, the one with my INTP, so I cannot personally answer how two in a relationship (ENTJ and ESFJ) will work. Like I tell many people though, types do not define a relationship, only the two in that relationship. The main problem I have found with being friends with an ESFJ are the topics we talk about. He and She like to talk about the latest trend, people, gossip, and the now; whereas ENTJs like to talk a bit about that, but mainly theories, world events, education, politics, etc... Now, this has all been my personal take.
