Mayâs web shooter was jammed. Although in Paragon there were enough heroes to deal with any kind of trouble without her help, she still liked to have them on just in case. Also, they made it easier to grab things without having to get up. She sat cross-legged on a bench outside her dorm, fidgeting with the settings and trying to asses the problem. Frustrated, she brought the device to her mouth and yanked a loose thread of web fluid with her teeth. To her surprise, the shooter unjammed itself, spewing excess web. âOh, fuck!â she exclaimed, watching helplessly as the web swiftly made its way toward an innocent passerby.
On Kal-Elâs way to patrol Metropolis, he heard the sound (and caught sight) of something he wasnât familiar with on campus. He immediately descended from the sky to intercept the flying object from hitting their target. Unfortunately, that left him to get webbed instead. It was a direct hit to his chest and. âSo... this is what that feels like.â Superman mused as he looked down at the new substance. Itâs an answer to a question that the Man of Steel hadnât considered asking out loud before, but was curious about said webbing for a while now. He just didnât expect them to be answered this way.Â
He tested the webbing gently at first, then with increasing force. Color him impressed that it didnât seem to shred easily -- which answered yet more questions (and led to others). âHuh... These webs dissolve after a little while, donât they?â
