     the blonde giggled.  beresu’s clueless face was enough clue for her to know claude was on a one-way track to pursue his love if he didn’t say anything clear enough.     ❛    an idiot’s an idiot’s an idiot.    ❜    she couldn’t even be more cryptic.    ❛     i heard from a little birdie that you’re really close, you see.  you’re saying you don’t feel anything for him ?    ❜    she figured karma would probably be nicer to her with some charity work.

   ❛ Me? A teacher? ❜ The stunned tactication can only stutter in an embarrasing desplay of shock at the woman’s proclemation. Of course with how curious he was, he couldn’t pass up the chance to learn of Beresu’s world. One thing led to another, and then it was said- ‘you would be a good instructor’. Being a teacher had never crossed his mind, and yet at the same time it tickled a deep part of himself as it was said. A secret desire, Maybe… but still, the idea of him teaching youth was not a good idea. 

   ❛ I-I don’t think so, I wouldn’t be a very good teacher… I may have knowledge, but I’m hardly qualitfied to be instructing students. ❜ One could argue it wasn’t that different from being a tactician to an army, and Robin was already cursing himself for making that comparison earlier in their conversation. But as things were, his life on the path it was, he wouldn’t have any time to pursue this newfound dream anyway. Better to squash down hopes and dreams like this now, they only make what’s to come more regrettable.

   ❛ You’re very kind professor, I can see why your students take to you so well. They’re an odd bunch, but I guess I must appear the same to them. Anyway- I hope that you’ll continue down this path with no regrets. ❜ His tone is suddenly somber, no longer the stuttering mess he’d been but seconds earlier. 

❝ your foresight and skills in strategy makes you more than qualified, perhaps even more qualified than i am. ❞  in all honesty, her words were no lie: when she’d been hired by rhea, it seemed odd at first: a simple mercenary, renowned by the title of ‘ ashen demon ‘ was hired to teach youth not even far from her own age. it was almost questionable, but she made up for it with readings, her father’s mentorship.

❝ i admit that even i had second thoughts about teaching. i’ve only been blessed with good students, and while i fall short, they’re accepting of me. ❞ she wasn’t used to this: having others to look after, their growth dependent on her teachings. before this, it was just her and her father: but she wouldn’t trade the people she had today for the world.

“I’m Robin, the tactician for this group.”

Her skills were sharp enough to be boasted about, and yet she evidently wasn’t inclined to flaunt her feathers. It could very well be that this was an elaborate ploy to infiltrate their ranks — but would a spy be so hasty, as if acting on instinct, to jump to the aid of a village in the mountains?

“Our commander will be happy to hear that word of us has spread all the way here. Have you had a chance to speak with him yet?” The Shepherds had grown since Robin first joined, but they were still few in number, while the threats to peaceful times increased exponentially. If a mercenary of Beresu’s caliber could be convinced to join their ranks, perhaps the odds would be more in their favor.

❝ a tactician ... i see. ❞ that made a lot of sense: with how he carried himself, a rather academic atmosphere he carried with him, in and out of the battlefield. in a way, she could even see him outwitting her own tactics, a feat not many ( if at all ) have achieved.
