with the notice posted, their attention could return to their surroundings and immediate actions ā perhaps keeping mobile might get them closer to a potential respondent to the call and hasten the task of meeting up. they could hope an exchange of information might nudge them closer to formulating a plan for handling or curing the Glitched, though Lumine had her concerns there might not be a solution until the Stars lifted the mists.
her sights set on Rafal, assessing the axe in his possession, a weapon type she rarely saw up-close and one easily capable of widespread damage if they were pushed to fight. as with others, her curiosities turned to the reasons for wielding the weapon in his world ā conflict between humans? a universal enemy in monsters? would the chance arise and they not be in danger of being ambushed at any time, she hoped to find out.
whilst they trekked, her eyes scanned the path ahead as best they could in the conditions, unwilling to stray until a short time of safety allowed them assurance to suspect the area might be clear. "you don't strike me as someone who fights for the thrill ā if we have no choice but to engage, will you be able to... you know? ideally, we don't reach that point in any case".
"Do you doubt my abilities?" Rafal raises an amused brow.
"No need. I have killed many, many people. If there is one thing I am capable of doing, it is that... If it comes down to it, you may leave the task in my hands."
He walks in silence, eyes still scanning. He was happy to leave it at that, heavy as it already was. He was not a good man. He was a very flawed and dangerous person. It was only fair for his allies to know who they were working with.
"What is your experience? You seem experienced, but you don't strike me as a soldier."
He spies a single glitched in the distance, currently oblivious. He points it out , quieting his pace. No need to draw attention right now.
