Important things Ive learnt that helped me improve my tattooing from apprentice to full time artist in 2026 ->

- Familiarity: Voltage and Needle preferences on my tattoo machine, I found out what works for me and reached a flow where I can tattoo comfortably.

- Customisation: I stay flexible to clients and help them change designs to suit their tastes more, helping match the tattoo to the personality and soul.

- Communication: Setting firm boundaries with bookings and what I'll tattoo became easier over time, and I make sure to keep clients aware of the whole process, pricing, aftercare every time, as every studio has their own advice and information. An educated client causes more ease in the process of tattooing, and reaffirms your professionalism.

- Photographing: keeping a journal of my old work and comparing it, pointing out mistakes, seeing the old vs new. I can easily see what I've learnt over time and how my style of tattooing has changed. For example, ink saturation and technique in my old work has significantly improved today.

Hi all, most of you may know me as "FelixirElixir" on tumblr, twitter, instagram, reddit, and anything else under the rainbow.
