Feel This Wonder

As a Black person, I don’t think Camila is racist or anti black. I just think she was very uneducated and hella ignorant. Her Tumblr reblogs are disgusting and no one can deny that. I don’t know much about Camila, I just know she’s Cuban and was raised in Miami. I mean, why is anyone surprised? Do you know how many people think they can say the N-word because they’re Latino? While reading the thread, I looked more about Camila’s charity work. Does she help Black Africans? Did she tweet about BLM? And yes, she did all those things. I also looked up more about the Normani drama and I found some tweets from her fans saying they’re lying about the Facebook messages and that they photoshopped it. I tried to understand more about what happened between Normani and Camila, and in all her interviews, Normani talks in a good way about Camila and so does she. I didn’t know that while Normani and Camila were in Fifth Harmony, they already had their own fandoms and some Camila stans started being racist towards Normani. I also recently saw people saying "Camila never defended Normani" but she actually did and I found her tweets. I also looked deeper into "Camila’s racism" and I saw some old tweets of her on her stan account where she was saying the N-word. It was around the same period of her Tumblr reblogs 2011-2013. She got exposed A LONG ASS TIME ago and she tweeted her apologies. But what really bothered me in this story is the reactions. I mean, trying to force someone to make a VIDEO apologizing when she already wrote an essay. I don’t even think that some of the reactions were actually genuine, sincere or honest. Some people didn’t sound hurt or disgusted, it was more like "Let’s pretend we’re [blank] because we want our girl Normani to shine" and this leaves me speechless. I don’t think that attacking someone for being ignorant will make everything better. But I also saw some good reactions, black people tried to look more into this situation and actually shared how shocked and sad they were after seeing what she reblogged in the most respectful way. Now let’s talk about Camila stans’ reactions which were absolutely DISGUSTING and DISTURBING. First of all, how can some white people come into this drama and being like "We forgive you" or "We don’t forgive you". First of all, all these things weren’t directed to YOU. They were directed to BLACK PEOPLE. Some people don’t have their words to say in this story. {A}
