She gave a soft laugh and tucked her knees closer to her chest, the nightmare horse beside her bed having disappeared some time ago.
“I’m too nice for my own good…” she mumbled. “I can’t even expel the Boogeyman from my room properly without feeling sorry for him…”
He chuckled softly and leaned against the wall. “Well, humans tend to let their emotions get in the way. Or so I’ve noticed.” he comments.
Absentminded she replied to him.
“We really do let lour emotions get in the way. But…that’s good. If we didn’t let our emotions get in the way how would we call off wars, how would any of us grieve for a loved one…how would any of us regret and even love in the first place?”
She raised her eyes to him once more.
“You can understand, can’t you? I mean…you were human once too, right?”
He listened to her speak with a contemplative look in his eyes.
He nodded softy. "I suppose I can understand a little bit. And I don't think I was ever human. I think I was just created from fear and darkness. I don't remember ever being human..."
