How did I come up with Astrid sporting a nose bleed? I got a nose bleed because it’s too hot outside. Bam. Inspiration.

I still remember crushing on her when the first movie came out. And then even more when the series came lmfao her design in RTTE is by far the best

I drew an Astrid! And she has hands that look like hands!

I had a lot of fun doing her hair because I really enjoy drawing hair the most.

Baby Astrid with Sneaky

So I’ve rewatched some episodes of RoB and DoB, and I just want to say that my heart melted when I saw Astrid pick up and cradle a sick terrible terror in her arms in the Dragon Flower episode. And this is what inspired me to draw this. 

I know Hiccup has more noticeable freckles, but some people forget that she has some as well. SO I DREW THEM (a bit subtle but they’re there)! They seem to completely vanish as she gets older, or I forgot to pay attention. I can’t remember seeing them in httyd 2 and thw.

I might not draw dragons often, because I don’t know if you can see, but I STRUGGLED shading Sneaky.
