having him standing in front of her at one of her most vulnerable conditions was absolute torture. the darkest of thoughts about jack racing everywhere inside her head, even the small things she liked about him begin to take over. nina is now overwhelmed, especially with the big confession she was preparing to make. a piece of her doesn’t understand why she is so obstructive with telling him the truth. it wouldn’t be the first time she’s had to say she is in love with someone     at one point in her life she even got paid to read those words off a sheet of paper and say it into a camera. maybe it was harder not knowing how it was he felt, maybe the fear of knowing jack deserved someone entirely better petrified her. or maybe it was the fact for years they have been talking about being in relationships with other people when in reality, she’d always loved him     the whole time. as nina heard his calm voice, a sigh of relief erupted from her lips. “just tell me when your bedtime approaches and i’ll let you go,” she joked lightly before striding across the room. now, the female is growing anxious with herself and it gets worse when she hears the male mention the reason he’s even here in her presence. nina finds rejection at the peak of her anxiety in this moment but won’t let it take over. slowly, she turns around and walks back towards him, cautiously. “well..” starting off, followed by a long pause. “i just wanted to,” at this point, she is lost in the way his warm orbs greet hers with every word she fails to get out. there is no way she’ll be able to tell him the truth now but she can’t be completely tight lipped. “i wanted to tell you i’m going back to the vampire diaries for season 8.”

he started to fiddle with his fingers when she announced she would be going back on the vampire diaries. he doesn’t feel like she should go back, but it really wasn’t his choice, like at all. he just knows the past relationship she had with ian somerhalder. jack doesn’t know if it was jealously that was making his nerves spike, but it was close. he didn’t like ian. for just some main reasons. he can’t help but smile when she told him though. he wanted to be supportive. it was the last season anyway, so of course she’d be able to go back. it just hurt him that maybe she’d reconnect with ian. there is so many what ifs in such a situation. “i’m glad.” he replied, a smile flashing to his lips, his arms wrapping around her body, a hand rubbing her back. “i’m shocked, but pretty happy.” lies, so many lies coming from his mouth. he couldn’t help it. “i’m sure your fans will be happy. i mean elena was important to the story. let’s just hope she doesn’t go to ia-- i mean damon. she deserves happiness, and we both know who it should be.” now he was talking about himself. she should be with him. he should be the one kissing her. he should be the one laughing with her. he should just be the man of her life, but yet he couldn’t find the right words to make everything happen. it probably wouldn’t. she doesn’t love him, those kinds of thoughts ran through his head. it was painful. being rejected was his fear of many. he was afraid of getting the no. “i love you,” his eyes started to stare at the ground before they went back up, eyeing her. her beautiful skin tone that gave him a chill. “you’ll kick some vampire butts again.” and now he was hoping she got the love part in the way he wanted, because he truly does love her. she’s important to him. jack falahee is in love with nina dobrev, and it’s eating him alive.

it wasn’t completely unusual for the girl to be drunk late on a saturday night by herself but it wasn’t the most healthy either. late night thoughts got the best of her as well as questions about whether or not it was the right time to tell her bestfriend how she really felt about him. what if he was in love with somebody else? what if he just didn’t like her like that? it was safe to say nina was apprehensive just at the thought of jack knowing the truth. though, she also knew, waiting and keep these rigid feelings hidden deep inside of her wasn’t rationally pleasant. holding on to the thin edges of her phone, she managed to feel some relief in the fact her drunken state was fading fast. water and some fruit definitely helped bring the female to a more clear, sober frame of mind. a bit startled by the random knocks, she quickly ran up to the door. pushing aside all her racing thoughts before greeting the body behind the door. “look who finally came,” nina joked followed by moving over a couple spaces, allowing him space to enter and make himself comfortable.

when she opened the door, his heart skipped a few beats. it wasn’t because of her beauty. it was because he knew that she would be there, no matter what. having these feelings are painful. it really does hurt him knowing he loves her, but he doesn’t know if she loves him back the same way. honestly, he’d do anything for her. even come over on a saturday night. even though he was about to watch some saturday night live reruns, but she was more important to him and she doesn’t even know that. yeah, it was that painful for him to look at her and all these feelings flush through his bloodstream. his cheeks heated up as a smile was on his lips, “you know i couldn’t say no to you.” he replied, eyebrows raised. he’s so close, but everything feels so far from him. his mind was banging. she should know that he thinks about her all the time. he thinks about how soft her lips would be. he thinks about how her laugh and smile just make him blush. yeah, just everything about her makes him so happy, but yet he was scared to come clean about his feelings. “it seems like you’re almost sober, if you want me to go, please do tell.” he gave her one of his falahee smirks, walking in as he turned right back around. “so, what did you want to tell me?”
