The Mourning Flower was arguably one of Zandiks favorite flowers. He never told you that specifically but the fact he and many of his segments could draw it perfectly from memory says something.

You made a tradition of giving them to him, every version of him. You grew them in the greenhouse, always tending to them. Like you tended to all of them.

When Zandik passed.. you started giving the flowers less. No longer did they occupy a spot in the vase, nothing did anymore.

You grew mostly distant for a long time, just always out of their reach. You never stayed around for long anymore. You started loving them less.

You couldnt look them in the eyes for long anymore.

Then came the day Omega deactivated all the segments, and suddenly after that you were gone.

The well tended to Mourning Flowers wilted, and you with them too. Leaving the last part of him all alone, for that is what he deserves. And as the last part of him left burns, you realize, you still wish he was here with you.
