damn Lavi and his quick tongue, honestly. Kanda watches him for a long moment, trying to decide if he should actually let the redhead in on what had gone on, but… he had offered to listen. the swordsman wouldn’t give that much away… probably.

“ …fine. you may want to sit down, though. it may be a while. ”

     he can’t help the tiny sense of pride && accomplishment that he has managed to get Kanda to actually agree to opening up ------ while it’s oft a good thing for one who has experienced anything traumatic or stressful ( && Yu has very clearly gone through both ) to open up, it’s also great to know things about the the people you work side-by-side with, especially in the context that is theirs. in a job where your life is on the line every day && a large portion of the chance you’ll live or die depends on those around you, Lavi would DEFINITELY feel better knowing as much as possible.

With how she is, there’s almost an urge to brush his hair away from his eyes. Almost, if only because his trademark headband is doing most of the job for her. When she’s done with his wound she pulls away, sitting back onto her haunches.

“Oh, please…” she waves her hand as she waves off his concern; it’s her most natural way of trying to reassure someone where her own well-being is concerned. “I’ve had worse from… from peoplethan what hits those damned Akuma managed to get in… I’ll be fine.”

     he manages to observe her as she sits, watching the best he can for any flinching, wincing, or favoring of any particular areas on her body. he can’t spot any right away, so he figures out she’s not really lying ---- body language has always been an easier thing for him to read than facial cues && such. above all, he’s best with voice tones, inflections, && so on, but that’s another thing he can’t read significance from in Sasume.

“ does this look like i want to talk about it? ”

“ i was always told that if you smelled it that you dealt it, so… it was probably you, Lavi. ”  yeah, he’s giggling. he’s so mature, can’t you tell?

She snorts, wondering how someone so smart could possibly be so idiotic. “It’s not like it’s ha-hard, dumbass,” she grumbles, carefully reaching her hand out. It takes some focus, especially with how she doesn’t know just where the wound is, but…

With eyes still made of slit gold, all it takes is a moment’s focus and the wound is sealed. Nothealed, but it’s as good-as fully clotted for now. “There… Not so hard, now was it?”

     he huffs in response, peeking through a single emerald eye at her, blinking a few times to clear the dirt && blood from the immediate area of his vision. it doesn’t do a great deal of good, but it’s enough for him to see a faintly blurred Sasume, && though he tries to keep an eye on her while she patches up his injury, he doesn’t really succeed, too tired to try much, eye fluttering shut as he exhales, relaxing && now just WAITING for her to finish.

「NAH, ‘m not gonna win, bu’ i can at leas’ try.」

                   “I’m fine. Now shut your mouth and let’s get going,”

“Bu… Bullshit, you’ll be fine! Just… come on, at least let me look. I can at least stop the bleeding.”

                   “Trust me when I say I’m fine. I’m not going to a doctor and                     you definitely aren’t touching me,”

                   “I’m fine. Now shut your mouth and let’s get going,”
