Phainon of Aedes Elysiae, the Nameless Soldier, the Deliverer, a Demon, Pathstrider of the Destruction. Whatever you consider him, he was once simply a boy who dreamed of becoming a hero.
A Chrysos Heir with golden blood, he embarks upon the Flame-Chase as the one who will inherit the God Kephale's Coreflame of Worldbearing, the Deliverer. To help bring about the Era Nova, a new era of gods and peace.
The cruel reality of the Flame-Chase is that it's part of an extrapolation to build a new Lord Ravager. To translate Honkai Lore Speak, that's very bad, cosmic level devastation bad.
But Phainon is more concerned that the people he loves so dearly are simply sacrificial pawns in a game so far beyond their control.
Naturally, this means we need to enter the time-loop psychological horror portion of his backstory, in which he slowly starts to lose both his sanity and humanity.
We're uh, a bit back? Better than we have been for millions of years? Learning how to be a person again instead of just a host for divinity? Maybe?
His current status is unknown to him, having given up the title of Worldbearing to the Trailblazer to ideally free his world from the endless cycles it's in and gone off to fight god, and losing.
