ย ย ย Sheโd been sitting on the bed for a really long time, just looking out the window, and for those on the outside it would look as though she was the only one in the room at the moment, watching as the rain tumbled down from her bedroom. Her legs tucked into her body, her hands pressed gently to the very camera she had come in possession of a few weeks ago. These were already the hardest days for her, and not many would notice, and not many would ask.ย
ย ย ย Though, there was someone who was always by her side these coming days when it felt as though nobody else was. Her fingers drummed with a soothing rhythm against the edges of the camera, as though petting it with delicate fingers. It held something special to her, something she didnโt know she needed for a really long time, at least not in the forefront of her mind.
ย ย ย This was a strange friend perhaps, one that exhibited hostility to those who werenโt in close relations, or just simply upon meeting this very individual. The very individual who faded in and out upon his own accord, focusing on her from his location on the table beside the bed. They werenโt looking at each other, but she could sense his presence. She could feel his energy that pulsated around her as he kicked his legs forward and back. Fingers silently thrumming on the edge of the furniture as he tilted his head. Eyes unblinking, staring blinding at her, for long periods of time.
ย ย ย โYuri โฆ whatโcha thinking about?โ Came a quiet voice to the side, the very same apparition that slept within the device now gripped tighter in her hands. He took a breath, shaking his head.ย โItโs all those people you can feel isnโt it? Does it tire you out like I have a feeling it does?โ The ghost moved to float forward, reaching out when she turned her head. They still needed to have her make the first move before his touch could be felt, and react she did.
ย ย ย Forward she came, their hands at the palms closing the space between, and a smile came across the otherโs face. It was never faked, never overdone when Sora did it. The two of them, they were a team, and he knew when things were too much for her. Empathetic she was, dangerously so, that very same energy she could feel โฆ he too could feel.
ย ย ย โWeโre a team yโknow,โ his voice once more a whisper as he clambered onto the bed. Though, there was no dip within the sheets as he was no living being no more, simply hovering and landing wherever he deemed fit, but his gaze never once left her own.ย โI can feel that energy around you, itโs exhausting you isnโt it? You can rest now, Iโll take care of you. Nothing will do you harm when Iโm around, but maybe you already knew that.โ A few weeks ago, Sora wouldnโt have stated such things. He wouldโve forced her to carry the burden alone, knowing his only purpose was to flicker and flash the fatal frame with utmost perfection.
ย ย ย Yuri โฆ Yuri was different. She allowed what Sora felt to combine with hers, and she was able to ebb away any tension he wouldโve normally felt around her, into something more gentle and benign. And now that was a given, Sora didnโt feel any hostility toward her. More so โฆ a sense of comradery he didnโt think he wouldโve felt beforehand. His legs folded, arms tucking in as the grin continued. Some would be surprised to see such a calmed and eased spirit around them.
ย ย ย โPut the camera down okay? Iโm not going anywhere. Get some sleep, the rainโs gonna pick up for a bit and I need to reset anyway. That record player might play some nice music, why donโt we play that and help you get some sleep?โ The last thing she needed to be listening to was cassette tapes.
ย ย ย She was practically glued to those.
