wow i havent been on here in over a year

me

it’s interesting to think that i have changed to much in such a short amount of time . life seems .. . easier . as if i have woken up from playing a drama my whole life . i feel less worried , less concerned . i keep my mouth shut more , allowing words to drift through one ear and out the other , while keeping a smile on my face . i don’t have to pretend like i used to . something clicked . it’s almost as if i had been told something when i was very young , and i lived my life by it , only to wake up one day at the age of 26 and learn that it was a lie . i had been told something and i had been carrying it around for so long and it felt so heavy , like it could crush me . i was so concerned with what everyone thought of me and this crushing THING , that i was ashamed and insecure and embarrassed .. . but now , i feel weightless . i honestly don’t know what shifted in my subconscious , but i’m sure glad it did .
