" FAREN "

*Faren jumped at the voice, a loud yet short yelp leaving their mouth simultaniusly.*

*They turned around with a confused look, only to see Simon's squished face staring at them. Faren sighed with relief before glancing at the plush they were so close to finishing.*

*Once they looked back, their expression was different from the serious and focused one they had seconds prior.*

"Hey, Simon!" *They said cheerfully. Monroe, only now being noticed by Faren, began to crawl onto their face. From how he moved, it was clear that Monroe was deliberately trying to block out Simon from Faren's view.*

*He didn't really succeed, though. Faren brought their hand up and repeatedly tried to get Monroe onto their hand instead, to which he hesitantly did.*

[Angry fast Vibrations]

"We talked about this, Monroe." *Their voiced showed slight disappointment, their expression doing the same.*

*Faren changed their expression after a bit of Monroe staring at them and began to lightly pet his head before looking back up.*

*They got up and walked towards the window, though a bit slow for some reason.*

[ Promptly scrambles to his feet and wraps his arms around his friend ]

*They couldn't recall the last time they had eaten something proper, only having snacked on protein bars to stay sustained while working on all the projects they had yet to finish.*

*They chuckled a bit at Simon's excitement, though was quick to answer.*

"Sound good!" *Their tone was calm but showed hints of enthusiasm. After all, Faren was never one to pass down the opportunity of new food.*

*The feeling of Monroe's legs crawling back up their arm was noticed, though Faren tried to not pay to much attention to the spider. Monroe reached Faren's shoulder and decided to stay there, clearly fixating all his attention towards Simon. It's almost as if Monroe is judging Simon.*

" sweet ! get dressed and i'll lead you down " " it's got the good stuff, believe me .. and mangonadas.. "

[ His eyes fixed on Monroe. Slightly psyched out, he knows this spider might have it out for him.. ] [ Finger guns at him ]

"Sorry, buddy." *Faren whispered to him.*

*They rushed up the stairs to their room, already having an outfit in mind.*

"Be right back!" *They half-yelled as they ran. Monroe jumped off them before the slam of a door could be heard.*

*Monroe crawled down the steps in a weirdly fast pace. He crawled all the way to the windowsill almost next to Simon, staring at him. He didn't move much after that, only slightly shifting his head to look towards the steps.*

[5 Minutes later]

*Faren hurriedly went down the steps, even jumping over the last three steps. Faren's excitement was clear, though died down a bit once they properly let Simon see them. They were in a new outfit and even had a new hairdo!*

"Sorry for the wait." *Faren's voice was steady though showed a bit of nervousness.*

*It was obvious why. If someone were to look at the outfit clearly, they'd be able to spot two pairs of slightly short thin appendages wrapped around Faren. They all looked almost exact to Monroe's arms.*

" FAREN "

"Hey, Simon!" *They said cheerfully. Monroe, only now being noticed by Faren, began to crawl onto their face. From how he moved, it was clear that Monroe was deliberately trying to block out Simon from Faren's view.*

*Once near enough, they threw a bouquet towards him. It was a small yet still clearly well thought out bouquet. Each flower was clearly picked with intent. The bouquet consisted of Chrysanthemums, Irises, and Marigold flowers. Each flower was a varying shade of orange.*

(I wonder who this could be from)

[ LP?!?! LP?!??!?!? Oh my god he can't hear you.. he has his headphones on.. oh my god.. ] [ He is in the zone as well, whole body gently rocking back and forth to the beat on his headphones. If Faren was to get close enough, they could probably hear the breakcore blaring from it ] [ It was only until he saw a little white blur and then a bouquet being hurtled towards him did he finally react, gasping sharply and diving for the flowers ] [ Lands riiiight in front of them, saving the flowers from touching the ground at just the right millisecond.. ]

" ..bwoah - ! " " yo. man. bromeo, you need to be careful " " almost gave me a heartattack. almost crushed your thangs ! "

*They didn't know what to do, so they just stood there. Confusion only grew. Soon enough Faren realized LP didn't actually know it was for him.*

*Realizing this just made Faren nervous. Not exactly ideal considering Faren has a regularly nervous behavior when with people they don't know too well.*

" ..you good, duders ? " " haha. you look like you've seen a ghost "

[ Pulls off his headphones ]

[ ..Nevermind. He stiffens as soon as he takes them off, initiating a thousand yard stare ] [ ..Immediately pops them back on, just disconnects his headphones from his phone ]

*Any thought of the bouquet left their mind just as quickly once Faren processed LP's words.*

"Oh, yeah. I like a few femtanyl songs! haven't heard of duster though." *They said, their eyes looking down at their necklace.*

*Faren proceeded to fidget with said necklace, gently playing around with it, looking at the cyan liquid moving around. It calmed them to see the liquid flow .*

*The silence that followed was still a bit awkward, though much less than the confusion from the previous moment.*

[ His eyes followed theirs, right to the necklace ] [ Hey! That color was the exact shade that matches his blood! What an.. uncomfortable thought ] [ His grin became a little forced there, his own theory was disturbing him. When it came to gore, he wasn't the best at handling things ]

*The question brought Faren's mind back to the bouquet, the same bouquet that lay right next to them at their feet.*

*A small mumble, likely of acknowledgment towards the bouquet.*

"The bouquet that i....threw...at..you.." *They began, slowly realizing how weird that moment truly was.*

*Outside stood Faren, a small object held in their hand. They patiently waited for the door to open, swaying slightly. A small jingle could be heard each time Faren moved.*

*Judging by their mannerisms and excited expression, it seems they're much less nervous to give a gift then usual.*

*Maybe this change was due to their last encounter. or not. Who knows.*

[ Simon took uncharacteristically long to get to his door than usual ] [ And when he opened it, it was very cautious and he was sure to peep through the cracks to see what stranger was knocking .. ]

[ When he comes to realise.. it wasn't a stranger at all! It was Faren! With a gift? What treats do they have in store for him today? ]

" ohh.. oh hi faren ! hey ! " " look at you. don't you look excited "

[ He pushed the door WIDE open, arms instantly wrapped around them. They have been grouped into the Simon friend circle. And friends of Simon always receive hugs upon meeting up after a while ] [ SQUEEEZE ]

"Sorry, force of habit." *They said, voice less quiet than usual. What could have possibly happened to make them so cheery?*

*Without a word, Faren brought their hand up and showed it to Simon, bringing it close to his face.*

*With how they held it, it was just barely holding on*

*It was a necklace, a necklace with a beautifully detailed yellow gerbera daisy*

"Oh, Before i forget-" *Faren reached down behind them, in an, uhm... unexpected way(to say the least) by bending backward and grabbing an upside down box that was apparently behind them this whole time???*
