no not the picture perfect blond who attracts girls and the lovable goofy sodapop who cares about his friends and brothers to the very end

i’m talking about the sodapop who’s had enough im talking about the one who bottles everything up until it explodes and he can’t seem to stop it from happening

i want to see more about soda and how he can’t love people without ruining himself in the process. like it’s something that’s been bubbling around my head but when he was with sandy, i think he’d try everything to try and woo her, sure she was like him, a greaser, but he wanted to impress her

and he’d do that by sacrificing bits of himself, maybe a little money here and there that he’s managed to save up just to take her out, but exhausts himself in the process, and he ends up taking that frustration and exhaustion out on his friends and brothers

and stevepop addition, steve comes to the curtis house maybe drunk off his ass or just beat up, and soda would stay up all night just watching over him while steve rests. maybe soda would get tired of this after a while and snap. he doesn’t mean it, he just does

i just don’t think this gets expressed enough that soda isn’t perfect. he isn’t necessary a “green flag” either. in the drive in scene where dallas goes to dirty talk cherry, pony does say that steve, twobit, and even soda himself would’ve gone down there to help him out
