Loulan was wearing her usual heavy makeup, an expensive hanfu, and multiple golden hairpins. She looked more like a fancy doll than a person. Even her voice held no emotions to it.

The Kyoshi Warrior looked at the strange woman with interest. She wasn't familiar with the whole notion of clans and families of the Fire Nation, if anything she was learning a lot as she went, but Zuko had explained some things to her about the situation in the message that had been sent.

So of course, they had to come.

— It's a pleasure to meet you. — Suki replied. She was wearing the usual Warrior attire as well, with her own heavy make up making her look like a demon that could strike at any moment. — You must me Lady Loulan.

" send in the next patient! " yuka called over her shoulder, lifting an arm to swipe the back of her wrist across her forehead, where sweat glistened. it was a sweltering day, and the building that had been temporarily designated as a medical clinic was not built for proper air circulation. the actual hospital was better... but it was in shambles after the battles between the denied and the avatar's team.

yuka leaned against the nearest wall and fanned herself with her hands, sighing heavily as if that would expel the heat from her body. as the approaching footsteps became louder, she glanced at the entryway to the small room and put on a reassuring smile.

Suki didn't want to go there, if she was to be honest, but the other warriors had asked her to go after the whole fight was over and they finally could breathe a sight of relief. While they hadn't been as preeminent as Aang and his team, the warriors had been busy during the attack. Protecting Civilians from the Denied and helping them escape the crumbling city had been their top priority.

Her makeup was very messed up and she was covered in soot. Probably there were some light burns all over but nothing she couldn't recover. Going there was a waste of time when there could still be people needing help.

— I might have inhaled some. I was on the party designed to help people get out of any buildings that were set on fire... — Suki replied, seeming like she wanted to get this over with. — I feel fine thought.

A lie. She knew adrenaline was what was keeping her going.
