I am quite literally the ONLY person in the ao3 tag for one of my fandoms.

Fun fact my first experience with fanfiction was five nights at Freddy's smut :^)

I'm writing my 20th pwp fic, over 7 fandoms, and I just realized that almost all of them can be summarized by "human twink tries to seduce ancient immortal man twice his size."

My fandom is of a specific actor but the character of theirs I love the most has like 5 fics that are not mine and even if I have hundreds of different people commenting on my fics about their love for the character there's like nobody else writing for them and I'm so starved for other people's takes on them 😭😭😭😭

When i read smut i have the characters design on hand so i see *exactly* how the f*ck.

I hate when I can't trust the author to treat all the characters kindly/fairly ( and I don't mean guarding them from harm). Sometimes it's not obvious at once, it's a growing discomfort when one after another problematic behaviours are not acknowledged. When one character's pushiness and disregard for boundaries are called being charming and charismatic and the other character have would be wrong to not accept it.

I wish people wrote more racially ambiguous. Whenever a character is black there’s only black reader fan fiction for them, and when some characters are white it’s not very inclusive of certain hair types and etc. And I don’t wanna read fan fiction and have my ‘chocolatey nipples’ mentioned, I just wanna read something racially ambiguous

I got stuck and used AI to write about 250 words of my last fic and now I can’t write anymore. I got no satisfaction out of publishing, I felt nothing.

One time i read a found family fic and a family fluff fic back to back on my nintendo DS (my phone was broken) and cried and broke the Y button with my tears

I’m in a fandom so obscure that the longest fic is an 100 thousand word long unfinished gay angst fic with really poor and unrealistic depictions of abuse and I’m so content starved i’ll take it

I'm sorry but if your fic is 10% story set up, 50% relationship and emotional development, 20% kink negotiation, and 20% sex acts, then it's not PWP 😭 There's so much plot I can't even see the porn

I like comments that I think other authors take as backhanded. Mostly "I don't usually read [x trope/fix type/so on], but yours caught my eye," type comments. Bc yeah same. This fic I'm writing isn't quite something I would usually have read before this either, but I'm glad that it's still drawing in readers who read similarly to how I do in that regard.

I used to read fanfiction from quotev on my phone at school from like 6th grade to 10th. Never got questioned what I was reading cause I was the quiet good kid.

My literature teacher was so impressed with my longfic that he offered to bind a physical copy for me

okay so like a month ago i had a Moment and wrote about half an omo fic? like all in one night. and i have not regained whatever possessed me. so its just sitting there. in my google drive. mocking me. my inner puritan has hands so im not strong enough to finish in my current state of mind, but i would like to finish it and put it out there because theres nothing of This Particular Kink on ao3 for this fandom specifically and if i want it surely someone else does. (if nothing else theres at least one person ive seen on furaffinity who would be interested.) and its not like i can pass it on to somebody else because im simply too prideful for that, plus theres no way in hell i would show anybody the draft (and also i would never make anyone do it for free). and its just. ough the misery. the hubris. my work haunts me. like victor frankenstein or some shit. and im sorry for the really long ramble but it's truly weighing on me and i truly needed to use this as a confessional here
