Understandably, primitive fear about death can exist to him. He is afraid of the world after death. But, the type might be different with others. He’s afraid of what happens after he dies. What will the human do? After his death, if the human does reset, he could lose his all memory. (Actually, Maybe it does, and maybe it doesn’t. No matter which is true, he has no way of knowing.) Then? The human can handle everything in the Underground. He will have to watch his colleague, his friend and his family die without all his memories. 

He is a type of glitch. Nobody knows if this glitch can occur again. He fears that human will free handle the Underground again without any disturbance - the murderer remembers everything done by the human.

At the same time, he is afraid the human will never come, while he’s looking forward to it. It’s ironic, right?For him, achieving his goals, at the same time, is losing his goal.
