5 weeks? A tiny baby!!!!!!

DO:

+ He’s going to need wet canned food for the next couple weeks. When he’s 6 weeks or so you can start to transition to hard food. He’s just a lil boy rn.

+ ALWAYS provide a litter box and if he’s too tiny to step in a regular one, use the top of a shoe box.

+ Remember he’s probably lonely and misses his siblings. He light cry the first couple nights. He’d probably like it if you let him sleep with you but if you’re not down for that, get him a nice cozy bed and some shirts.

+ Get him LOTS of toys so he isn’t so destructive. And a scratching post so he doesn’t sharpen his nails on the furniture.

+ Spend as much time as you can with him. Try to slowly introduce him to as many experiences and sounds as you can while he’s still a kitten.

+ Give him fresh water every day. I give it to Tommy twice a day. Cats love fresh water.

+ Get him neutered as soon as the vet is comfortable doing so. It prevents certain cancers and makes him less likely to spray.

DON’T:

+ Get him declawed.

+ Bathe him unless you absolutely have to.

+ Pet him when he’s not feelin it.
