Save Him: Jimin Theory
So a very common theory from Euphoria is that Jimin was left behind/sacrificed by Jin to save the other members. Read more on this theory here here & here. I believe Jimin has been (trapped?) in a hospital of sorts since I Need UÂ /Â Run.Â
For this Iâm going with the theory that Jin keeps trying to go back in time to find a way to save the members from dying/themselves. But by doing so, the timelines he creates keep messing up and someone suffers. So heâs left to make a choice.
This theory is EXTREMELY LONG and goes through Jin/Jiminâs story from Run until now. Iâm not really focusing on the other members too much so other theories could tie into this or change things a bit. And most importantly, this is just my interpretation of everything.Â
Quick Recap:
I Need U is where we were first introduced to the stories and situations that happened. Hoseok overdosed on pills, Jimin tried to drown himself in a tub, Yoongi set his room on fire and died. Jungkook got beaten down and then hit by a car, I think at this point itâs safe to say that Jin was the one to run him over (thatâs a theory for another time). V killed his abusive father, and Namjoon either kills himself by dropping the cigarette near a gas pump OR him dropping it symbolizes him going down a darker path in life (still donât know much about that). And of course we see the pairings of YG/JK, JH/JM, & TH/NJ.
Prologue is the new timeline (TL) Jin created after the events in INU. This is where the theory of time travel and the butterfly effect is first introduced. If Jin was the one to hit Jungkook with his car, I think he went back in time to stop that and possibly stop Yoongi from dying. The new TL he created is happier, they are all together again. However the âhappyâ scene was short lived. Ultimately V was the one who suffered by jumping into the water and drowning. This brings us to the events in RUN.
RUNÂ
I think this MV represents 3 different timelines. The âcurrentâ TL where V is drowning. The party TL where they are all together in a happier state, representing his attempt at saving V. And the darker TL that represents the effects of the changes he made. I know that sounds confusing but hopefully it makes sense lol.Â
Itâs made clear towards the beginning that Jin is aware of whatâs currently happening (V drowning). Theyâre all happy together with Jin until V knocks down the house of cards Jin is building. A representation of the fragile state these timelines are in. This is where he becomes âawareâ of each one.
