I Know Alone
Little Italy Chapter 2
Henry Cavill x Black!Fem Reader
Summary: You werenβt known for the love of things, you were barely known, even to your family but that was because they chose not to know you. You were never known. Until you met him. After you met him, things felt different. The only thing in the way was judgment. The fear of what your family thought. They were always there to remind you of your ability to not be good enough. He was there to remind you that they were just a whisper in the wind.
Warning: Ddlg themes, unsupportive families. Guess words. Detaild of neglect. Mentions of drinking and smoking.

It felt naughty, you rarely did this. You could somehow ignore your cravings and temptations. There was an innocence in you that made you feel naughty for pleasuring yourself. It was also the fear of getting caught. Though mostly you hadn't had a face to put to the body in your pleasure filled hazes, that made it better for you because you felt naughty thinking of someone when you did this. Though it was one face that was persistent.
You loved those shocks, those shocks of your forgiving orgasm. If it were a really stressful day for you, you'd go until you couldn't anymore, until your fingers were cramping and your body begged for a break instead of an orgasm. You wish you could say those days were rare.
Your bath washed away your orgasms, your thighs shook softly. Your eyelids felt as if they had gained a ton the way they were weighing down. You almost dispersed every bit of your energy, something you shouldn't have done on today of all days.
Though you couldn't be too hard on yourself, you'd need something to calm you down before you walked into lunch. You could hear your family downstairs laughing. It made you flinch, your anxiety crawled over you until it covered you entirely.
-
Your beat up sneakers scuffed against the right leg of the chair. Your aunt and uncle were over for lunch. Your mother, father and siblings were sitting at the table. Everyone enjoying lunch except you. You were at the far end of the table, not really being included in the conversation that bounced between them. You wish you had been though because you were honestly interested in the conversation.
You waited though, to see if anyone would ask your opinion on the matter. Though with everything in you, you knew they weren't going to ask and they didn't care what you thought. You've become accustomed to being a spectator in their conversations.
Your lips parted and one finger tugging and twisting at a strand of your hair, it helped you stay quiet. Your attention flicked to whoever was speaking at the time. Your body was still vibrating with pleasure. You briefly wish to be there in your bed and not here at this table.
You sat back in your chair, defeated. Your mind began your own conversation. Appreciation from both ends carrying the conversation. First it was about the new book you had picked up recently. That thought had you realized you had left your book with that man. Your new neighbor, you hadn't got his name. You didn't even know how'd you get your book back.
"Shit." You whispered.
"What was that?" Your aunt asked.
"Hm?" You ask, genuinely confused, though soon realizing she heard you.
"Y/n, you know it's not polite to interrupt someone's conversation." Your mother said, looking at you pointedly, making every one look at you.
"I-" You stumbled a bit. "I'm sorry, it wa-was an accident." You hurried to apologize. You wanted the attention off of you. You felt crucified under their gazes. You felt as if you'd start hyperventilating. Their stares became more judgmental, they all wanted to say something, mulling over what they could assault you with.
"I'll excuse myself." You said, eyes low and avoiding looking at any of them.
"No, no." Your uncle said. "You haven't said anything at all, what do you think?"
Both your mother and father squinted their eyes at you. Scrutinizing an answer you hadn't yet verbalized. Your siblings all held smirks, they liked when you were put on the spot unexpectedly. You swallowed harshly, straightening your posture. You stammered and stuttered.
"I-I have to go to the-" You stuttered harshly. "Excuse me." You said to everyone and ran into the house.
Your tears threatened to spill, adding onto your humiliation. You were embarrassed, you basically lead yourself into that trap.
It's my own fault.
You repeated it over and over. Wishing that it'd change, wishing it'll turn around somehow. Some things never change, they never fade, they never falter. You knew that, though it didn't make you any less hurt by the ridiculing and embarrassment brought on by them.
You pulled yourself back together, as much as you could. Your feelings were still very much stomped on, but you couldn't let them see you like this. You still feel like you had a shaky grip on yourself, you knew you would have to tiptoe around the house if you stayed, if they wanted to bother you more. So you decided to leave, you didn't grab anything you just left. Your feet carried you without your mind telling them where to go. You sat in the grass, perched on that same spot.
The sound of the water flowing so graciously had consumed those nasty thoughts of yours. The drastic change in your mood not going unnoticed by you. You loved being in this spot, you loved the birds that would often stop by to greet you, like now. He perched onto the grass next to you and chirped curiously, looking up at you. You think that maybe he was waiting for you, awaiting your next visit. He visited the most, he had a unique gray spot that you could always see first. He hopped closer to you, chirping again. He just chirped and chirped as if you knew what he was saying, though you could sense the excitement. You suddenly remembered the bird food you always kept on you in case you decided to come to this spot.
"Here you go." You said, your voice sickeningly sweet, which just drew the bird in more. He started pecking at the food in your palm. There was a stillness that you appreciated, one where you weren't expecting an attack on yourself by everyone around you. This little birdy, sad to say (maybe that depended), was your only friend. The way your family treated you stunted your ability to make friends, guess that didn't extend to the animal kingdom. You were surprised the squirrels weren't here, they would usually sit in front of you as if they were guarding you, protecting you. It was freaky at first but you came to love it, there was nothing else like it.
"A Disney princess. I've never seen anything like it." He said. "Cinderella, though, in this case you left your book and not your glass slipper."
"Shit, dude!" You clutched at your chest. "You can't keep scaring me like that." You said, a little forceful. Though you quickly realized your tone, your face started to heat up, more out of regretting what you had said.
"I'm so sorry." You covered your mouth with both of your hands. "That was so rude of me-"
"No, it's rude of me to scare you like this. I'm sorry, your reaction is completely warranted." He said, you not use to the apology or how nice he is, you blanked. You stared up at him with wide confusing eyes.
"Th-that's okay. N-no to a-apologize." You spluttered. "I overreacted. Do you want to sit?" You asked him, in hopes he'd forgive you.
"I'd love to." Once he got settled he handed something to you, your book.
"You left this."
"Thank you. Forgot, sorry I left in such a hurry." You said softly.
"Wow...you even sound like one."
"Hmm?" You said, not sure what he was referencing to.
"A Disney princess." He chuckled. "The voice, the animals, don't tell me you have an evil stepmother."
"Not a stepmother but evil nonetheless." You said with a shrug of your shoulders. He had chuckled, a sound as sweet as your voice. If anyone was to see the two of you together you, it'd be a sight. The way the sun reflected off of the both of your skin, it amplified the sheer beauty the both of you were, in all aspects of the word. They would see him catching every word spilling from her mouth, and they would see you so obviously shy. It was a painting or sketch but now alive.
"How are you liking your new home?" You ask, shocked by your own boldness. You usually run away from strangers, anyone really, but not him. He sparked this curiosity in you, one that's been dormant until you think about him, which you did often since meeting him. He was at the back of your mind, always.
"I have to say, I wasn't expecting to like it so quick. The view is incredible." He rambled.
"I would have to agree. I like coming out to watch the sun rise and set sometimes. The open space just makes it that much moreβ" You trailed off. He understood. He felt the same way.
"I get a nice view of it from my kitchen."
"You got it experience from the field. It's so more...consuming, in a nice way, at least to me. It almost seems too much for me to handle because I never get such peace like that." You don't know why you said that, who was he to even be interested in what you were saying? You felt bothersome, like you shouldn't have said that much.
"Maybe I'll have to do that soon. I mean, I'd be a fool not to take the opportunity to." He said , hanging onto your every carefully picked words. It was a battle between staring at every twitch your face made, something he found fascinating and taking in your words.
You were usually obsessed with the quietness, no one talking, it felt good to not have the uncertainty of loathsome words. You didn't feel that right now, you felt the need for words. The need for words that weren't on the pages of your books.
-
It took a lot in you to leave, you wanted to stay. You wanted to look at him a bit more, you found that you liked him, maybe a bit too much considering he was a stranger. You couldnβt stop thinking about the man, he was mystery, just like the pages of your books you havenβt read yet. He was like that, a story waiting to be read.
It was still at the front of your mind when walking to the field to watch the sunset. You needed to after your eventful day. You saw the outline of a figure. You didnβt give fate much of a thought but...three times? Twice in a day? Surely the universe was telling you something. This day surely wasnβt all grey.
βI see you took my advice.β You saw the man flinch, your mouth moving fast, not giving you time to decide what to do. He turned around with a huge smile.
βSounds too tempting not to.β
