Helping to prove that this is all a dream is the fact that The Windmill's Stage Door appearing on modern Whickber in S3? This still would not make sense with the plot that S3 says is happening in this moment... which Good Omens definitely, definitely wanted us to notice by framing this shot and having a character be like "this is no mistake, folks!" 😂 Why wouldn't it make sense with the plot?

Because this is the opening of the sequence where Joshing Jesus gives everyone pizza. By this point in the story? Michael has chucked everything from air fryers to the entirety of Australia into The Eternal Flame (again, can we just point out... that sounds a lot more like a dream than reality 😂) and, as Joshing Jesus hands out this elaborate bread and cheese? Even the angels and demons are getting wiped out...

Dagon and Eric open a door in Hell to nothing, symbolizing that they were just erased... and Hell seems to have been, too. Saraqael and Muriel vanish, now erased from The Book of Life, and Heaven is gone, too. We are moments away from all that exists in the world in this story being Crowley, Aziraphale, their bookshop, and a pair of concepts of Satan and God. The last things and people to go before that are those on Whickber Street and the street itself.

At the point where The Windmill's Stage Door shows up? Everyone on Whickber Street is a scene away from beginning to vanish into thin air. Even the street itself goes in the end, as the bookshop is left in a black void of nothing. (It was a haunting shot. I loved it lol.) What's mah point besides, as always, dolphins? 😊

It's that everything was disappearing.

Even this door disappeared moments later with Whickber Street so why was it there in the first place? Nearly everything on Whickber Street in S3 was worse than it once was. Everything was closing, businesses had been taken over or changed hands, half the street was shut and under construction. But, out of nowhere? And out of time? Pops the stage door from 1941.

Why? Because Aziraphale is having a dream. He's seen the door a million times in the past, as it used to be right there, where it is in the dream, right across the street from his bookshop. He went through this door in 1941. That night, as we know, was very significant to him and Crowley. It makes sense that it would pop up in his dreams all the time. As it is? It did in S2, too.

The miscommunications in the end of S2 between Crowley and Aziraphale have and undertone of The Bullet Catch going massively wrong and Aziraphale tried to reference 1941 to him in the middle of it. In many ways, the plot in the end of S2 is similar to that of Greta/Rose, showing that Aziraphale thinks of that often. So, visuals from 1941 popping up in the dream, too? That would make sense.

His entire nightmare is about how The Four Horsepeople riding for him in reality and a personal Armageddon happening where he's trying to figure out how to move forward in life. Dreaming of the stage door to The Windmill? Seems likely because, fundamentally, this is all about professional conjuring for him, as I went into in the linked post above.

The teaser of the Wings of Victory bus in the S3 trailer made me think that we would get a third part to 1941-- and I desperately wanted one lol-- but what I've come to realize is that it was there because they wanted us to notice references to things related to 1941 to help us figure out what's going on. The stage door is not the only thing I've noticed, either...

You know the scene where Joshing Jesus and Harry the Fish are talking about finding the lady and they're just suddenly, randomly in this bedroom below? In a place I'm dying to do a whole analysis about because of that painting and that Goblin teasmade and yeah?

If you look at the details in this room closely, you'll come to the same conclusion that I did: this is Crowley and Aziraphale's bedroom. Aziraphale's own bedroom is appearing in his dream... and did you notice that, under the windows, is the red couch from The Windmill's dressing room that used to belong to The Ladies of Camelot?

It's the couch Crowley was sitting on when Aziraphale tricked Furfur and protected Crowley from Hell. This one:

So, the concepts that are Joshing Jesus and Harry the Fish are talking about card tricks in this bedroom right next to the couch that Crowley and Aziraphale bought when The Windmill closed as a memory of tricking Hell in 1941 and their successful, hilariously sexually euphemistic Bullet Catch lol, and which they now keep in their bedroom.

It's where Crowley sits to put his shoes on before he leaves in the morning or, based on the lamp and little table behind it, to read a book in peace upstairs where no one will notice him if the shop is open.

But, yeah... a Jesus and a card shark randomly having a conversation in the main character's bedroom and the stage door from a place that hasn't existed in decades popping up out of time and place on a set are just two of the many, many Clues that this is all Aziraphale's worst nightmare and, in the end of S3? He just woke up. And, thanks to this prophetic dream of his? He knows exactly what to make happen and make real to avoid any of it ever coming true.
