Your patron is an ancient dragon of immence might and incredible magical prowess even in comparison to the eldest among their kind. While often mortal, their lives still can be measured in literal eons and the sheer weight of their presence can crush lesser beings. Your draconic patron may be a benevolent metallic dragon who granted you a measure of power when you most needed it, a vicious chromatic that forced ot tricked you to pledge servitude, or even a rare gem dragon whom you’ve impressed with your intelligence and cunning. But it is also likely that your patron is a being of a completely different type or even defies every stereotype and stands apart from their magestic kin.
Dragons that can become otherwordly patrons are rare, but such dragons are always exceptional. In Forgotten Realms such beings include such chromatic dragons like semi-divine dragon Tchazzar, archmage-dragolich Daurgothoth The Creeping Doom, and Imvaernarhro, and metallic dragons Protanther and Palarandusk The Unseen Protector. Niv-Mizzet from the world of Ravnica, druidic black dragon Vvaraak from Eberron and a counsil of several powerful dragons also can become patrons of such warlocks.
Expanded Spell List
The Great Wyrm lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

1 – Ancient’s Breath
At 1st level, you gain the ability to exhale a blast of elemental power, that bears similarity to your patrons breath type. As an action, you can exhale either a 15-foot cone or 30-feet line of damage that correlates with your patron’s chosen element. All creatures in the area must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your element. On a failed save the creature takes 2d8 damage + your warlock level and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increase to 3d8 at 6th level, 4d8 at 10th, and 5d8 at 14th level. After using this feature, you cannot use it again until you complete a short or long rest.

1 – Hoard of Knowledge
Also, starting at 1st level your patron teaches you the ways of dragonkind. You can speak, read, and write Draconic and you have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks to track draconic creatures, as well as on Intelligence ability checks to recall information about them, can automatically identify locations built or used by dragons and can identify dragon eggs, scales and objects which were in the dragons hoard by sight.In addition your patron allows you to partake in some of their immense talents. You learn two skills from the following: Arcana, History, Athletics, Insight, Survival, Intimidation, Persuasion and Deception. If you choose those skills you already proficient with, your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses them.
6 – Draconic Essence
At 6th level, your patron strenghens you against elemental dangers and attacks. You gain resistance to an element of your Ancient’s Breath feature and whenever you make a saving throws against effects and features that deal fire, cold, lightning, acid or poison damage, you make them with advantage.
Also, you learn to channel some of the elemental essence of your patron’s type through your body and magic. When you make a succesful weapon attack of cast a spell, you add your Charisma modifier to one damage roll against one of its targets. The damage corresponds to your resistance you have gained on this level.
10 – Overwhelming Presence
Starting at 10th level, you have become undaunted and your patron shows you ways on how to inspire terror and exploit it in your favor. You cannot be frightened and when a creature fails the initial saving throw imposed by one of your spells, you can choose for to become frightened of you for 1 minute. While a creature is frightened of you in that way, it makes saving throws against your spells with disadvantage and you make saving throws against the targets spell and magical effects with advantage. At the start of its turn it can make a Wisdom saving throw with your Spell DC and on an a success it ends the effect.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
14 – Mantle of True Dragons
Starting at 14th level, your connection with might of your patron becomes so great and clear that you can channel it for a short while with awe-inspiring effects. As an action, for 1 minute you can become cloaked with a etherial visage of a dragon, which can reflect your patron’s shape, look like a younger member of their species or can be a completely abstract luminous silhouette. The effect ends earlier if you become uncouncios, fall to 0 hit points or below, or die.While the transformation lasts, you gain the following benefits:
- Your resistanse gained on 6th level in this subclass becomes immunity and you gain +2 to AC.
- Your Ancient’s Breath feature can be used as a bonus action and recharges on a 6 on d6 at the start of your next turn, or whenever you make a critical hit.
- You gain flight speed equal to your movement speed.
- You can attack twice, instead of once, when you take the Attack action on your turn. You ignore this benefit if you already have a feature, like Extra Attack, that gives you extra attacks.
- Whenever you make a saving throw, before or after you know the result, you can end the effect of this feature early to automatically succeed on this saving throw.
Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
