These are a few of my daughter’s drawings.
We’re reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted people of Tumblr to help lift up a passionate, determined young artist: J-la, my daughter and an 18-year-old undergraduate who has always seen the world a little more vividly than most.
J-la was recently accepted into Studio Incamminati, one of the most respected art schools in the country, located in Philadelphia. And I am very proud of her.
Tuition is $5,600, and she’s doing everything she can to make it work by working two jobs. She is young, and I was never fortunate to give her a lot of things children needed or wanted. Now, I feel like I can do that. That’s where your kindness comes in.
Your donation, big or small, either it is money or a reblog, is one step closer to cover her tuition and gives her the chance to grow, learn, and thrive in a space where her talent can truly shine.
