Thing of Things: Creation
When a new Thing is found, it is my duty, as Story, to teach them about the world they have come into. It has however been a great many eons since a Thing was formed from Story. But I'm wasting time, let us begin.
We start with Nothing, and Nothing was Everything. Everything had a Thought, and this Thought was of something, perhaps texture, perhaps noise, perhaps imagery. It didn't matter what Everything thought of, for it had happened, and as a Thought tends to do, it grew a life of its own.
Thought ran wild, and from it came many Things, Perception, through Sight and Sound and Sensation. A Thought is not locked to one form, and it is because of that so much comes into existence. Ending quite simply, with World, not one specific world, but World, a sibling of ours. Thought rested, for it had imagined a World, and now World could take the next steps.
World put down roots, filling Everything with Life and Death and Change, and even me, Story. Many more Things would come to be, it would be pointless to try and name them all, but I had quite a role to play, for what is a World without Stories told within it?
And so it went, Things coming up with more Things, new facets, new ways of looking at themselves. I could tell you of each and every one of them, but that feels rather pointless, doesn't it? It's your turn, it's been a long time since I saw a new way to look at myself, and I'm quite curious as to what exactly you are, my friend.
