More Artfight attacks, I haven't been drawing as much lately but I promise I'll try to get back into the grind ;w; these are also slightly out of order but I wanted to put the mermaid gals in the same post lol. For some reason I've been enjoying drawing fish-based characters

it is not really a thought as much as it is a truth, ive always struggled with wanting all my works to be perfect, something my mom reminded me of, even before i was 10.

and i could work my ass of on something but it will never be as good as the drawings i did spontaneously.

so i know i put too much pressure on myself, and ultimately i know i should just accept what is, reject what is not and embrace myself, but the question that remains is how?

i think these drawings are a prime example of that . the first one was done spontaneously while the second one took me way longer and much more effort.

when i first did a poll to see which one people liked better, the first one won, and then i kept editing the second one to see if it would finally be approved or if it could never top the first one.

the second one may be better , objectively, or not , who knows. i did polish it more.

but to me it lost something important in the process, i dont think it "sparks joy" in any way anymore.

i didnt have fun with it.

it was a chore.
