I'm an adult, I live in Canada, and I like participating in a bunch of fandom activities, from zines to week events to cons to general fandom community!

This is an intro post, but its mostly just me talking about me, and there's no required information here, so it's just if you're curious! More beneath the cut i'm just trying not to decimate someone's dash talking about myself.

About me

This is my mainblog, which is mostly a collection of my interests and thoughts and stuff. I'm anime/manga multifandom, and I like a variety of games as well. Currently some of my primary interests fandom wise are Ichi the Witch, Mairuma, Deltarune, Witch Hat Atelier, Witchs Heart, Ib, Other RPGmaker games, Yuri Manga, and a bunch of other stuff. Outside of fandom, I like jellyfish, embroidery, the flute, and game design.

In fandom, I like writing fic, making art, discussion and community events, as well as fandom archive and resource creation.

I love being tagged in stuff, playing ask games, or just answering random asks about whatever! If I don't answer something, I probably just forgot ><., but I do my best to reply to stuff!

That's a great question!!!! Here are some options:

1: Got Retconned - this is the lamest option, but its entirely possible bcs it was early series Opera just. used magic then, and then it was decided they should be mostly a physical fighter. ibut that options kinda sucks so here's some other ones

2: Opera Doesn't Use Magic on Principle - Borrowing a touch from Mafia's characterization, but it's possible that Opera doesn't use magic out of. Spite? Like, they have some hang up about doing so, and thus are Capable of using magic, they just. Do not. For a reason. This could be like, a superiority thing like; you need magic to do all that but I have Hands. It could also be a servant thing, like a, it's not my place to. like, we'll stop the boy from getting bonked in the face, but beyond that? eh, there's no need.

3: Opera Can Only Do Simple Magic This is the one I think is most likely, possibly with some elements of the Not Using Magic Out of Spite thing. like they caNNN do simple magic, but Only that, and they don't do it on principle.

You said you haven't read the manga, so I'm pleased to inform you there's this one little set of chapters I think is really relevant here. Basically: The entire misfits class is issued the task of climbing a REALLY tall cliff, by Opera. The instructions are that one can only use their own strength, and "Simple Magic". this would be stuff like verbal or nonverbal magic, but nothing bloodline, no familars and no wings either. Iruma wonders if they've done this to put him on an even playing field with the demons. But sure enough, this seems to be how Opera operates too! They don't use wings, or bloodline abilities, or have a familiar! But, Iruma *can* do simple magic, and so perhaps Opera is operating under the same logic.

No really what if Opera is like Iruma Like. what if the only way Opera can do magic is via a magical conduit item? a ring of gluttony or like, what Kiriwo had going on. we wouldn't know!!!

it's basically conspiracy theory at this point, but due to semi recent manga events i now hold the basically unfounded theory that Opera was the subject of some manner of experiment to create an 'undemon like demon', hence their interesting lack of demonish traits.
