no worries!!! it's just a topic that's on my mind a lot as i write, since in those slightly longer fics you do have to give your reader at least some agency for the sake of the yan-darling dynamic, and in that case i tend to go for the "internally conflicted, externally passive" kind the most, which was something i thought i'd share my perspective on. i should have livened my post up a little, though. looking back, a lack of any "!"s or ":)"s makes me sound somewhat crestfallen haha.
