January CC Project: Late Medieval Set

It's finally here! This set was inspired by 14th-15th century hairs. It was very hard to find detailed references of pre-14th century hairstyles, especially since women's hair was normally covered in a veil or head covering.

Thanks to @manul-sul-sul and @sychik for their open T.O.U.! Both are very talented creators and everyone should check out their content :). I used the braid from @manul-sul-sul's Sunrise Hair for Leonarda and I converted @sychik's Matilda Braids for children. Hope you enjoy!

Well the vikings have landed and now they built some longhouses in Henford ;) - this is a deco house to place with T.O.O.L off lot.

My edit of a conversion by @simverses who’s creations I’ve become addicted to. Here is some simple commoner’s garb with leather collar, great for cold weather. I work on a computer that is about 10 years old, thus, I am always keeping an eye on my KB count. This creation only has 3 swatches, and most of my items will be kept simple that way in the future to reduce bulk. Included are the green pictured here as well as a blue and gray. (I plan to do up children’s and toddler’s versions as well but in other colors so will add those when finished.)

Ive been wanting to play with this mesh by @satterlly for a while now and finally did today. 8 swatches.

What does Santa need for Winterfest? Chimneys, of course. Here are seven chimneys from The Sims Medieval, looted from the TSM shells, and edited and adapted for Sims 4. Found in build mode under Chimneys/Roof Deco.

What is more fun than to sit and stare at animal heads? Nothing! Here are the TSM Hunting Trophies as TVs - I also included old versions made by Evanmo, which had outdated tuning and were not adapted for Off-The-Grid.

It made me stop using my old stoves altogether. I could not live without Eel Eye Stew. But, now I can use the stoves again! I adapted them with LBB's permission (TY!!) to her mod. They are freestanding versions from the old ones, so you can have both.

The visible difference is that I stole borrowed some of LBB's deco and put it on the stoves. The two SDA stoves are a little higher than normal stoves and therefore the animations are just a little weird.

The two frankenmeshed TSM-inspired stoves are also updated, they also have the LBB deco to differ them from normal models.

One of my first object conversions - now in three versions:

Base Game Version, decorative, use on lot or place off lot with T.O.O.L

Eco Living version, works like the water collector.

Eco Living version to place off lot, and then it helps with the water collection for the whole subhood. Tuning by Coolspear.

Something changed and the milk in the sippy cup started to make spiky ugly stuff. Now it doesn't anymore. Please redownload. First time around it came with the Toys Default Replacement. They did not need an update but I repacked them separately. You can have only one Toys replacement set, if you have another, dont use this at the same time.

I have posted these tents before, here is the set again with new posh thumbs and a new converted tent added: The Royal Tent! Only the best for the Royals! (Zx-ta also has a version of the bandit tents, check it out!) Also included: the small prop tent from Get Famous, now functional. Its very small so it looks a bit weird when the sims get in the tent. But its CHEAP!

They work exactly as EA tents, you can pack them up ect. They need Outdoor Retreat pack to work.

Once upon a time in Sims 2 there was a world of mine, called Windle. In fond memory of that world, I have given this HUGE new build set the name Windle. It started with a wish to adapt the Castle Kit Build items from Sims 2 Store converted to Sims 4 - and then it has grown. A basic version of the set was converted early by @zx-ta, and I have used them as a base for some of the edits. My version is slightly edited though. But more about that later. Now we start with the Walls, a set of matching Rooves, and a couple of matching Floors. PaigeTurnerSims made a S2 version, which I started with. Pic of her S2 set:

I converted them and adapted them for Sims 4.

There are 4 Basic swatches for this set: Grey Stone, White Stone with Gold, Black Stone with Red, and I also added a Sandy version, useful in worlds with a more sandy color scheme.

There is also a foundation made from these textures.

Floors

Two floors: stone floors with accents. There are so many gorgeous stone floors out there, which also work nicely with these walls, but here are a couple that follows the color scheme.

Rooves

Two rooves - very similar, but matching the deco pieces which I also will share.

The original windows and doors in the Sims2Store "Castle Kit" was a bit limited. I needed more. More sizes, more variations. Here are the results.

Windows:

I needed nice and practical but small windows. Glass was expensive. Look at old castles, few and small windows. They were also cold, the castles, so big windows were RARE.

Two of the windows are edits of SDA church set windows. Four are edits of the original window in the set (the one with bars). The smallest narrow window is liberated from the sets decopieces.

Doors:

Smallest size of doors fit on lowest floor height. The variations: - Door with Thin Arch - Thin Arch - Door with Wide Arch - Wide Arch - Closed Portcullis (behave like an arch in game) - Open Portcullis

The sizes:

Low, Medium, Tall, Taller, and for Portcullis also a Taller Narrow size.

Finally, a deco Drawbridge.

It is a deco object - you can make a functioning one if you place it on a platform.
