Anime Freaks!

Okay that virus that’s going around, is seriously fucking scary. I got the same thing on my computer about a week ago and I got rid of it, but it took a lot. This type of virus can control your browser, it can control your webcam, it can control all your files, and track you.

If you’ve seen the post already, do not click on the user if someone like this follows you. 

 If you do on accident, you will be taken to an FBI site, which tells you you’ve viewed pornography and stuff. Looks a little like this…

It asks you to pay a fine. ITS NOT REAL. DO NOT PAY IT. You won’t be able to leave the page, or close your browser. Your computer is probably infected now, and you need to remove it.

Click ctrl-alt-delete at the same time and open task manager. Shut down your browser. Uninstall it completely. 

Reset your computer to the last known date when you didn’t have the virus.  

Install and Run malawarebytes. It’s a free service, that get’s rid of all bugs in your computer. The download link is here. Most antivirus softwares can’t detect things like this, so your best bet is to just download it. Run a full scan to ensure your computer is clean.

Restart your computer, and you should be fine. 

The main thing here is to not panic. I did, and it just makes the situation worse than it really is.  

If you have seen a post about it, you’ll see that icon, and a URL with random letters. Please don’t risk it, you’ll have to work really hard to get it off your computer. Be careful, and DO NOT PANIC. Here is another tutorial on how to get rid of it,

“Well I mean you should be, you’ve been acting like an ass this whole time, but whatever, okay. I’ll join you.”

“Well I already can’t use my powers to rescue a kitten from a tree without being eyeball deep in Should Supers Be Government Regulated discourse. And selective media coverage that makes me look like a prick. And have you seen the memes? I’m done.”

“I–”

“And I got a tooth knocked out in a fight last week but I don’t get dental coverage for this gig. Or, you know. Income of any kind, livable or not. But you own a multi-billion dollar evil corporation so I assume there’s benefits?”

“Yes. There’s… yes.”

“So whatever, I’m in. Evil’s my middle name, or something. What’s our plan?”

“…”

“Do you… what, do you not have a plan?”

“Honestly no, I really didn’t think you’d be on board, I– I’m not sure how to proceed from here.”

“Talk it out over drinks on you?”

Hosoyan’s staff announced via his official website today that due to a recently diagnosed throat issue, he will be going on hiatus. He does plan on returning to work within this year.

He’s the seiyuu of Reiner (SnK), Otabek (Yuri!!! on Ice), Sousuke (Free!), Asahi (Haikyuu!!), Junpei (KuroBas), Orga (Gundam: IBO), etc.. It seems that he finished recording his parts for Reiner first before doing this.

This probably explains my previous confusion at why he won’t be at the YOI event later this week.

Update (July 19th, 2017): It has been confirmed that Hosoya Yoshimasa will be returning in time to star in Fall 2017′s Saredo Tsumibito wa Ryuu to Odoru (Premiering October 2017)! He was previously confirmed for the SnK Season 2 Reading & Live event on October 29th.

Update (August 6th, 2017): Yasumoto Hiroki (YOI’s Christophe), who has co-hosted the radio program “Tensai Gunshi” (天才軍師) since 2014 with Hosoyan, announces Hosoyan’s surprise return!!

it really bothers me to no end when people say what happened here is that Mikasa thought that she should at least confess her feelings to Eren because they were gonna die even if that was also something that was conveyed along with what she said, that was NOT what prompted her words!

I just hate how much this implies that Mikasa didn’t care about anything that was going on and just decided to take a selfish moment to herself not caring about Eren’s state and feelings, when it’s the absolute contrary!

what prompted Mikasa’s words was exactly seeing Eren in that desperate state! she thought they were gonna die and she didn’t want him to go like that, depressed and self-loathing and feeling useless, she didn’t want their last moment to be that way!

They will do this so strongly, they will even forgo rationality and obscure the material that is in front of them until it fits into their narrow view. 

I feel sad for people who are unable to enjoy the material as it is, and instead melt it into something grotesque. It spoils the enjoyment. But not just for themselves, as these people are rarely silent in their opinions. They seek out to destroy it for others.

This moment between Mikasa and Eren was beautiful beyond words, and deeply poignant. 

With nothing left to fight with, Mikasa used the last thing she had available to her - her feelings - to bolster Eren one last time. She reached out in their final moment to dust him off, to tell him that no, he isn’t useless or worthless. That, even if he was unable to protect others, he always protected her. He saved her life. It may just be one life amongst many, but her gratitude to him is insurmountable. She reminded him that in the face of it all, he has been her everything. 

It wasn’t selfish. It wasn’t a last minute, desperate bid to declare her feelings before they died. It wasn’t as romantic as that. To me it spoke many levels of sadness, that seeing him break apart like that before her eyes, prompted her to speak up. She only did it to give him strength, or I feel she would forever hold her feelings in her heart. Mikasa is not one to do things lightly. She learned her lesson about letting her feelings dictate the moment in Season 1. 

Yet here, she knew they would help. Maybe not to get them out of an impossible situation, but to save Eren from dying in a state of unimaginable grief. To give him a moment of respite, from a life of almost complete tragedy. 

She showed him her vulnerable side in revealing as much as she did. And I think that was completely selfless of her, in fact. Her purpose for doing it was to simply thank him - like no one else has - for the things he has done, the sacrifices made, for simply existing. 

If she had not the courage to expose her feelings that way, they both would have died there; Eren caught in a moment of powerful self-loathing, and her, helpless and only able to watch. Not a pleasant way to go.

As someone who is fairly neutral on Mikasa, even I was able to appreciate the power of that scene, the raw emotion, the importance.
