“True, but if we didn’t make time for ourselves now and then we’d both probably go a little crazy, don’t you think?” Aqua held back a small laugh at his response, shaking her head. “That’s very true. I suppose just this once. There’s nothing wrong with getting lunch with a good friend.”

“Aww come on Aqua, you always say--” And he stops, mid sentence. Because she had actually said yes. So maybe he’s a little giddy, and he might have just bounced a little on his toes like a dork in love but so what. She’d said yes! “Whaaaa? You mean for real? No, ‘maybe next time Zack’ or ‘I’ve got this thing with Terra and or Ventus?’”

“I figured as much, to be honest. If anyone understands about being away for long periods of time it’s me.” Chuckling, she raised a brow at his offer. “Why Zack, are you asking me out on a date?”

“Heck, what with you bein’ a keyblade master and me being a first class, it’s a wonder we have time for anything that isn’t saving the world, right?” He crossed his arms and wiggled his own brows in response. “The worst you can do is say no.”

“Really? Do you think that is maybe how it really works?”

“Naw, I was just talkin’ out of my ass. Imagine though. That’d be something!”

“… Very. I’m surprised you didn’t make an appearance yesterday.”

“Wha’? Oh yeah, San Valentino right? Missed it I guess. Was in Juno, on mission. Work, yanno? Sorry, would’ve gotten ya some candy or somethin’ for the occasion. Flowers maybe. Hey-- Lemme make it up to ya. Wanna grab some lunch?”
