Congratulations!

This was Fail Enix's first official big event! We were really excited to plan it out and set it loose, and it definitely took us by surprise! We weren't sure how to gauge activity and we grossly underestimated how difficult the event would be. Because this was mostly a learning tool for us to figure out how we can improve events and judge how challenging they should be, it unfortunately didn't give much leeway for members who didn't have time to participate until later in the week. This kind of thing is definitely being considered while we think of other events we can plan for the future.

To everyone who participated, we really couldn't have done it without you! We cherish you and your activity so much. Even having this RP group active again has made us so incredibly happy, and although the group is fairly small at the moment, everyone's time and patience mean the world to us!

I'll say it again and mean it; it really means a lot to me that you guys would stick it out despite our giant hiatus and get excited along with us mods over our first big event!

MOVING ON...

We want to make events as enjoyable as possible for everyone. Several issues have come to our attention, including the following:

*falls back* *downs a couple potions before getting back on his feet and preparing himself to keep fighting* *the heartless looks really weak now, if he can just get in a few more hits, it'll be down in no time!*

*braces himself as he runs towards the heartless* *he tries to stab it through the middle* *he succeeds, but winds himself by doing so* *takes a few steps back out of the way... the statue is starting to crumble*

*smashes the cookies its standing on as much as he can while dodging the heartless' weak attempts at attacks* *he finally lands an ending  blow to the statue's head, and watches the whole thing fall to bits before it disappears*

*takes a deep breath and watches as the last heartless' heart floats pitifully up towards the great somewhere* *sits back down and takes a breather... it seems no more heartless are coming around to surprise him* *he decides to take a nap now that all of this is seemingly over*

*It isn’t long before Roxas, wandering about the mansion, runs into even more heartless* *groans*

*summons his keyblade and glances over the four that appeared nearby* *they’re similar to the heartless from before, a prank bouquet, a white rose, a tower macaron, and a white chocolate statue* *he knows these will be more difficult - they’re recolors. thats what recolors meant in videogames, right?*

*he harnesses his strength, preparing to take most if not all of these heartless down in just a short time. it’s not something he’s done in quite a while, though, timing himself.*

*takes a deep breath and charges towards the macaron. he should have been preparing much more for this. while he knows the flower heartless might have a shot at poisoning him, he has a plan to get to them before they have a chance.* *his keyblade dents the tower macaron, but the hardness of melted chocolate on its shell isn’t letting it budge quite as easily as the last macaron heartless.* *whacks it a few more times, finally breaking through and inflicting the tower macaron with heavy damage* *but its not over yet*

*the tower macaron still isnt down* *swings his keyblade skillfully, slicing through one of the confections right where it hurts - the soft middle* *its too much for the tower macaron, and it quickly fades out of existence, leaving only a lonely heart behind* *the heart floats off somewhere*

*next is the flower heartless* *he knows exactly what to do here, and uses some fire magic to take them out quickly* *he has to use it twice… he’s not very practiced in area damage when it comes to fire magic, so all he can do is aim it towards one heartless at a time* *he watches the bouquet and rose burn for a bit, but then leave them to take the burn damage while he focuses on the most dangerous threat of the group*

*maybe this heartless is the one he should have focused on first. its big and strong and scary* *notices the cookies piled underneath it* *this one has a weak spot, unlike the chocolate statue before it* *he only swung at it a few times before noticing.. it’s too late to move out of the way of its attack*

*he’s delivered a swift jab to the gut by the white chocolate statue’s fork*

Of course, there were more waiting for him outside too. He rolled his head, cracking his neck before taking a stance in preparation to fight. There were only two here. Easy.

Aced reared his keyblade, then cut the air ahead of him, sending a barreling shock of sheer force towards the two heartless before him. He did so again, until his swings were sharpened and the air currents stung even himself. The heartless were barely budging still, and Aced slammed his keyblade into the ground in frustration, creating a fissure and a bombardment of rocks towards them.

This wasn’t enough, though, and he decided to leap towards the pink possessor, shearing it into nothing but petals and a broken umbrella. The heartless disappeared in no time following the attack.

He then turned to the circus balloon. What an odd looking thing. It didn’t take much effort for the foreteller to tear this thing apart either. It popped easily enough on the edge of his keyblade, given enough force to slice through it.

Then, Aced looked at the mess he had made… wasn’t this just typical? He was always so rash and unthinking of his surroundings wasn’t he… The foreteller sighed and desummoned his keyblade, then slowly worked to putting most of the rocks and boulders back into place. Though, the gash in the ground would probably not soon recover completely.

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all enjoying the event and your valentines week!

Due to the holiday and the fact that some members need a chance to catch up, Valentine’s day will be a rest day for everyone including the mods! you can keep battling heartless and RPing if you’d like, but remember that we will not necessarily be available to provide new prompts or calculate prize eggs until the 15th. This means that the Raid Boss will be pushed back until the 15th as well!

[gula takes a brief break before he continues, taking shelter somewhere in the forest where the trees are more dense.] [he tries not to stray too far from the edge of the woods, but he needs to make sure he’s safe while he heals up] [he didn’t take much damage, so it’s not severe, but he also needs to make sure he has the energy to keep going]

[well, once his wounds (more like scratches, really) are healed, he makes his way back out of the forest] [he heard the raid boss go down earlier. thats good. thats one less problem] [unless whatever is bringing these things here summons another….] [but that can be dealt with later, if it actually happens]

[somehow, before he can notice, a group of heartless is right in front of him] [damn it. was he too distracted?] [whatever. focus on the task at hand] [he backsteps, summoning up his keyblade again as he does so]

[he knows these heartless. he fought different versions of them earlier, but this time it seems they’re more powerful.] [last time he started with the statue, got the strongest of them out of the way first, but he may need a different approach this time]

[he starts with the prank bouquet. it’s easy to tear through with his keyblade, making a clean cut through its flowers and packaging. that’s one down.] [the next is the white rose, again slicing through it with his keyblade] [the petals give way, scattering around him, and then its on to the tower macaron] [he gives that one a whack from one side and then the other, hearing the crunch of the pastries that make it up, before one final slam from above gets rid of it completely]

[then, that only leaves the white chocolate statue.] [he withdraws a few steps for a moment, considering how to approach the situation] [really, it shouldn’t be that hard, but at this point he’s been fighting nearly all day and wants to make sure everything is calculated, logic untouched by his tiredness] [he can only hope that aced and ava have gotten themselves together at this point and are doing well… surely with the three of them fighting this tide of heartless could be stemmed rather easily]

[well, then. he would just have to quell this particular wave for now, then go about finding them. he rushed forward, using speed to his advantage; many small cuts being made to wear the heartless down would work best for him] [and then, just as predicted, the statue fell along with the others]

[he paused to take a breath. he seemed to have defeated a good amount at this point. again, he could only wonder at how aced and ava were doing] [but perhaps, with no immediate heartless threat in this area, now would be a good time to find them?]

*wakes up* *gets dressed and does some stretches before he opens his door……. only to find two more heartless!*

*MOM HOLY FUCK!*

*he’s pissed off, actually. he didn’t get to sleep well because of all this racket, and now the heartless are gonna pay for it*

AHHHHHHHGGGHHGHHG!!

you heartless need to be shown whats what!!!

*goes in swinging yet again* *this time, his judgment is much better and his aim is much more swift. he couldnt fathom what reason there could be for heartless to appear here, but he didn’t let that thought bring his attention away from the heartless he was beating down* *the circus balloon was an easy pop once he cast some thunder magic. now all that was left was the pink possessor*

*just look at that thing with its twisted smile, floating around like there are no sins in the world* *roxas charges at it with everything he can muster for the moment, impaling it and turning the key for extra oomph. that wasnt enough though. he would need more strength*

*he pulled the keyblade out and gave it a few more swift whacks, knocking the umbrella aside and watching it dissipate before continuing to beat down the flowery pink monster.*

[and here come more.] [there are only a couple, but it’s obvious they’re more powerful than the last ones he fought] [he’ll have to be more careful now. keep his guard up, make sure he doesn’t take any unnecessary damage. he allowed that last hit, but he doesn’t need to take another, especially not from anything that hits any harder]

[he’s gonna do this one at a time, again. best to focus on getting one out of the way if he can’t take them all. it minimizes risk for injury.] [he’ll focus on the pink possessor first, if only because those things are fucking annoying.] [he moves carefully; he’s much more calculated now, trying to reason out when is best to attack and when he should be dodging or blocking, or even hiding when necessary to take heat off him for a bit.] [despite these heartless being stronger, they are few in number, so it’s still very easy to get rid of them] [the pink possessor goes first, of course, and the circus balloon follows]

[he pauses for a moment, taking a breath and re-orienting himself] [not that he was disoriented before, but just to keep his surroundings completely in his mind] [if he wants to take a break, he should probably do it now before he runs into more heartless… but /does/ he want to?]

[ouch. that smarts.] [he plows through it though. it’s not as if he’s never taken a hit before. hell, he fought fucking /aced/. he can take a small time heartless trying to get at him.] [ultimately, it’s not hard to finish off the creeper bouquet. it’s just a matter of being fast and hitting hard, and then all the heartless that were surrounding him directly are finished.]

[there’s a moment of reprieve, though he doesn’t necessarily take advantage of it. instead, he moves forward, searching for more heartless. he doesn’t need a break; not yet, at least.]
