the differences between messmer and godwyn as if they are the opposite sides of the same coin: how they fought a war. one purged a land with fire and blood, bringing death to enemies without a second thought. the other chose the diplomacy to end invasions and grant an alliance. one fought for vengeance, to protect the realm of the ugly part of its conquest. the other fought to keep the glory of the kingdom, representing all that is good about it. both were incredible warriors, standing up honorably for their purposes, but one faced a rebellion from his most important soldiers while the other had loyalty following him even in his death. one will be forever remembered as a hero, the other was erased from history. one died before his time, the other survived. none of them could've been saved.
