Gotta add that Bison as a semi-accidental Iago (convinced he was cuckholded betrayed and engineering a betrayal of his own) fucks SO hard.

Of course Bison being also an Othello of sorts (trusting someone he shouldn't + made to believe his beloved's loyalties lie elsewhere) makes Captain Christ also an accidental Iago which ACTUALLY brings back race into it in the most insane way.

#well in the most classical sense i do think bison is Emilia - lied to by iago and made to participate in the cheating deception #kant is iago in all senses (betrays both his lover and his close friend and ropes everyone into his plan to do so)#but then in that interpretation fadel isn't even othello. he is DESDEMONA [moans out loud] sorry who made that noise.#like kantiago fadelothello bisonemilia makes complete sense until you get to styledesdemona and you can't. style was not innocent #in the same way desdemona is . . . . style literally like don't put me next to these tragedy characters that’s not my genre #anyway. bison as Bianca is awesome bc he's given more autonomy than even 10things gave her. he's Active in the deception #and that same autonomy can let you interpret him as iago. yes the heart killers was insane for adapting the taming of the shrew without women yes they were insane for adapting othello without any regards to race. but then they made fadel both katherina AND othello and that genuinely almost makes up for it
