FOLLOW FOREVER && FOREVER GOODBYE.

Truthfully, this is long overdue. And I mean LONG overdue. This is a compilation of thank you for following me, I’ve reached over 300 followers and I will be resigning from rp. It’s been a great run. I mean that in the most sincere way possible. Starting off during the days of myspace, up until now, it definitely has been quite the experience, one of which I wouldn’t dare trade for the world. So thank you, every single one of you who have followed, who have interacted with me both in character and out of character and who have taken the time to write with me. Without you, I wouldn’t have been able to fully enjoy and get the full essence of what role-play is all about. On that note, I’d like to take the time out to acknowledge a few people:

@89wk - Where do I even start with you. We’ve had quite the history. A huge reason why I come back a lot of the times and I don’t regret coming back in the least even when you suddenly disappear, without a trace at times. Granted, I know how to reach you. Haha, regardless, you’re a really good friend of mine both in character ( with whatever characters we come up with ) and in real life. You’re like a little brother to me with the mind of an old man at times. But I guess that’s why I always enjoy talking to you. That and you always make me push myself to write better because your writing is TOP NOTCH. LEGITIMATELY. It’s definitely a gift to read whatever you write and even more so when we have the opportunity to write together. That’s something I’m going to miss, but I’m glad we had the time and the place to do all of those things. Thank you. A million times, thank you. @ivnsng - You. You always manage to persuade me somehow. Although, occasionally not intentionally or not purposefully. Just you talking about how amazing role-play is and all of your experiences and how there are so many amazing writers there are that you’ve had the opportunity to interact with pulls me back in. I get sucked in like a black hole and I come out on the other side an enlightened potato. We’ve known each other for quite some time. You’ve followed me and I, you through the various changes I’ve made in character, even though they’re all relatively the same, you’ve stood by my side all of this time. Thank you. Thank you for always being willing to do unconventional, out of the ordinary story-lines with me. Following me into the dark when we join RPGs that don’t follow through, we still make the most of it. Thank you. @kiinota - My kimchi girl. Haha, every moment with you is hardly EVER a dull moment. You’re a riot you know that? Always making me laugh, always a good time with you. You’re adorable even though you don’t believe you are. I believe you are. The little things you do, the little things you say. I wish we had more opportunities to write with one another. If only time were on my side and if only I weren’t such an old soul with old bones, I would force myself awake to be able to write more and get our story-lines up and running. But regardless, thank you for being you and thank you for finding your way back to me when I suddenly vanish out of thin air. You always know how to find me and I’ll always be your ramen boy. @ophaedia - You aren’t around anymore. At least not to my knowledge, but I just want to say thank you for writing with me when we had the chance to. Sorry for bailing out on you so suddenly previously. Kind of miss how angry you get when I make terrible puns. I can already hear your reaction if I were to think of a pun right now. Guess it’s my form of punishment. HAHA! But the way you write, magnificent. Your character’s back story, simply amazing. You as a human, a million thumbs up. I miss you. Something I am always embarrassed to say to anyone, but I miss you. I hope you’re doing well and not getting into trouble. Thanks for telling me that you genuinely like my writing and that I have a voice when I write. That inspired me to stick around. @jcaecus - You are a precious little soul. I’m glad we had the chance to meet and follow one another. I always am intimidated when it comes to making an account and seeing the vast number of people who write so well. On top of that, I always felt as though people found me unapproachable. But you proved that theory wrong. You came to me so easily, you spoke to me and even wanted to plot. I had just came back to role-play on tumblr. It had become a completely differently place, but you made it feel as though I had never left to begin with. Thank you. @baudellare - Another precious being. Honestly, if it hadn’t been for ophaedia, I’m not sure if we would have been able to interact with one another the way we did. Not saying that if he wasn’t in the picture, I wouldn’t have spoken with you. I just felt he was the perfect gateway. We wrote not too often, but when we did, it was definitely something enjoyable. You’re a sweet as ever, too. I came back nearly half a year later and you still opened your arms up to me. Thank you times a million for that. To you lot whom I had the honour and the privilege to write with. Thank you for being so open, so creative and imaginative and for allowing my character(s) to interact with yours, for allowing us to be a part of your lives. You have made my experience here an amazing one, from the way you write, from the way you develop your characters, to the way you give them a voice. ▬ This is my first follow forever/appreciation post thing, in all four years of RP. And, to be frank, I’ve never really felt a need, nor gathered enough attachment to do this before. However, I can honestly say that it is also the first time I’ve felt so utterly welcomed, too. Therefore! this is a post to show my appreciation for all of you fools that make my time here a wonderful one. I’ve been working on this slowly for the past few weeks, and trying to ensure I dont miss anyone out (so hopefully I didn’t). Thank y’all for tolerating my garbage-fucker of a muse. two things. sincerest apologies for disappearing so suddenly. i moved into a new place just last week and has finally settled down a bit for some spared up time. secondly, i also started a new job recently so will definitely not have as much time as usual to engage in role-playing fun. however, that won’t stop. threads will just be dished out at a much slower pace since weekends seem like the only moment to breathe ( or days like this ). so, on that note, thank you for being so patient. once again, greatest apology for abruptly going without saying a word. i am here now. if you do not wish to continue the thread we have currently, let me know. no hard feelings, i get it. you’ve lost muse and i wouldn’t want you to force yourself to write something you’ve lost interest in. just don’t be afraid to let me know.

if you’ve managed to SURVIVE death – as ironic as it sounds – you’ll either continue as if nothing happened, or you end up as a complete emotional wreck. or you’re like sumi. sumi is both. despite her loss of memory from her past life she likes to believe her ways haven’t changed much, she’s still just as blunt as she used to be, not afraid to speak her thoughts. if those thoughts happen to be related to another human being she’ll most likely blurt them out right in front of you. you see, she has known yonghwan for a while now, they spoke – they always just spoke. she’s so scared of being touched, she’s so scared of people laying hands on her cold skin that she always flinches away the moment she sees them going for it. and yet she craves touch more than anything. maybe that’s why she’s looking at him from where she sits, a meter away from him, no expression on her doll like features. a sigh. desperate and sad. once you’re dead you wish to be alive, no matter how many times you wanted to die during your life time, sumi can promise you that.

❝ how often a day do people tell you that you’re handsome? I bet it happens all the time, I bet girls fawn over you and want you to touch them, don’t they? ❞ it may seem like a weird question, but she wants to know, she wants to know about all the girls that are alive and get to touch people, in all ways possible. for a girl who spent her whole past life meeting up with men and women alike it wasn’t surprising that she was envious of pretty alive girls, pretty alive girls who could do whatever they wish to.

FOR AS LONG AS HE had known her, up until this point, he could sum up one true thing: she kept herself at a physical distance. Possibly even an emotional one as well. But he was never one to question her in terms of the way she kept a large space between them ― a deep void that perhaps he may never be able to leap across. Simply, he just watched, taking whatever notes along the way. Even if getting to know a person, often times required a better understanding through physicality, he had grown to know bits and pieces about her through their words. That of which he was all right with. Since, he too, wasn’t one who welcomed that form of intimacy with open arms. At least, not often anyway. In the next moment, Yonghwan slumps back more comfortably into his armchair, elbows propped and fingers lacing around themselves in front of his chest. A neatly groomed brow, arches at her inquiry. How often did people tell him that, really. ❝ Hmm. ❞ Musing over the question for a few moments, he finally responds, ❝ Truthfully, not as often as you make it out to be, love. ❞ The muscles on the left side of his mouth tug upwards, causing a smirk to form on his features. ❝ I think more people are intimidated by me. Too intimidated to utter compliments of such caliber to me. At least face-to-face. ❞ Admittedly, there had been a small number of women who did fawn for awhile, believing they could melt the cold ice that surrounded his exterior. Believers of the notion that perhaps they can dig deeper into the dark crevices of his cranium. But when the shell continues to be unopened, they join the club of women who share stories of how cold he is and rumors arise. Dark optics avert themselves away from his hands and peer across the room at Sumi. ❝ Do you find me handsome? ❞

Eating a small croissant and scrolling through her phone, the messages of Yonghwan immediately catch her attention as she reads through them with a small, amused smile settling on her pretty features. It is amusing, and he definitely looks like he needs some more rest though she knows of this feeling only all to well so she shouldn’t be the one to talk.

( sms. yonghwan. ) Well, well, it seems we both need our beauty sleep. You probably more than I do, judging from the picture you sent me. Are you quite awake by now? You really did look pale. ( sms. yonghwan. ) But good morning, it’s the start of a brand new day. Eat, sleep and drink lots of water to keep yourself going, I’m counting and cheering on you! Make sure to drop by too, when you have some time on your hands. It’s been a while and I only have three appointments today. ( sms. yonghwan. ) My brother’s been slowly taking over, so I am not obligated to work as much as I have recently. Vacation sounds good. Maybe I’ll head to Monaco for a weekend. What about you?

AS SOON AS THE phone is placed down on the counter, ready to be ignored for the new few minutes or so until the familiar jingle interrupts the peacefulness of the morning, it chimes. Ears perk and immediately fingers find themselves lacing around the device again. His secretary’s name lie in wait for his answer. Sliding his thumb across the screen, Yonghwan picks it up. ❝ Hello? ❞ ❝ CEO-nim, your first appointment got cancelled. I received their email this morning. Sorry sir if I’m interrupting. ❞ ❝ Ah, don’t worry about it, Hyemin-ssi. Thank you for letting me know in advance. ❞ ❝ Of course sir. ❞ ❝ I’ll see you later in the afternoon then, yes. Have a good morning. ❞ Click. The piece of electronic is pulled from resting against his face and a small sigh escapes passed those lips. Well, guess I have a free morning. What could he do. Once again, his phone rings, though this time the tune is short. Dark optics peer down from his lashes and a series of messages appear one after the other. Oh yes, Seoyun. As he thumbs through the messages an idea strikes. 「 ✉ » Seoyun」Is your schedule free for the morning? Would you like to grab breakfast? Or coffee? 「 ✉ » Seoyun」My secretary just informed me of a freed up morning, so I won’t have to come into the office until around lunch time. If by chance she does agree to it, then he’d need to properly engage in his morning duties and prepare to venture out. If not, well, then he’d have the rest of his morning to stay within the comforts of his place to rest. Possibly get some reading done if he really was up to it. There was that book that he intended on finishing over the course of the last few weeks, but due to his booked schedule and having to attend events being held within Hotel Soleil, it was rather hard to find proper time. Maybe even go on a morning stroll. Grabbing his phone in between his fingers, the young man makes his way back to his bed chambers, to begin his morning regiment.

the undercover case had the potential to become a breakthrough for his department, yet jongin still didn’t like how he had to charade a maid of all things. he couldn’t even clean after himself, let alone pretend he had any domestic skills to clean for someone else! he had tried to present himself as tidily as possible, though, hoping that yonghwan wouldn’t turn him away too soon just because he wasn’t female, or clad in some skimpy dress, for that matter. ‘god, let it not be one of those rich guys,’ he prayed, just before the door opened.

“hello,” he bowed politely, sincerely trying to pretend he really needed this job. “my name’s jeon hyobin; i gave you a call earlier?“

on second thought, maybe it was better for them both if yonghwan just shut the door on him now. clearly, a beautiful, graceful woman was better fit for this job than he was.

IN TRUTH, HE WASN’T EVEN sure why his father had suggested him having his own personal maid. It wasn’t like he was ever home to begin with. Was this person supposed to follow him around even to his more private sanctuaries? Just the thought alone gave the CEO a massive headache. But, as a filial son, he does what his father suggests. Perhaps this will do good for him in some fashion later on in the future. It wasn’t like he was incapable of cleaning after himself and keeping his space tidy, but alas, again, filial son and so forth. A heavy sigh seeps through his lips as he attempts to settle down within the Jeong estate. Fingers lace themselves around the daily newspaper and dark optics run through each word. However, thoughts are interrupted when the doorbell chimes. Right. Pulling himself from the comforts of the leather armchair, Yonghwan takes long strides towards the entryway, while brushing his garbs of any possible lint that may have clung onto the fabric. As the door opens― Huh. So this Hyobin was not a deep-voiced woman. Perfect. One less thing for him to worry about. A woman. The previous person who was interviewed― scratch that, the previous few individuals who were interviewed were women. All of which sat in front of him, nearly incapable of speaking. As though something held tightly to their tongues, rendering them speechless. Perhaps it was his sharp features that either made him intimidating or perhaps there were other reasons behind those flustered expressions he’d witnessed, but what he knew was, having a woman as a maid couldn’t be compared to having a male. Like this one. Peculiar, but intriguing.

❝ Ah, yes. Hyobin-ssi. Please come in. ❞ A hand extends out to motion the potential maid in. As soon as the other male enters the abode, Yonghwan closes the door behind them both and leads the way to where he had originally posted, in their family room. ❝ Would you like something to drink, Hyobin-ssi? Water perhaps? Tea? ❞

He’s so, so pleased to be picked up on his not so humble request, and presses his cheek down against his Hwannie’s shoulder. Sure Hwannie is… a whole lot bigger than Joon remembers him (since all memories of adulthood have been wiped away by the potion for as long as he is to stay like this) but that is really not something to worry about. He enjoys the embrace, enjoys the sturdiness and warmth and strength, and his tiny fingers curl around the lapel of Yonghwan’s blazer as he nuzzles the fabric. It reminds him of appa, of his uncles, and it’s a comforting feeling.

“Joonie,” he replies, blinking up at Yonghwan with his small brows furrowed slightly. That is such a weird question to ask. “Hwannie knows.” He really should, at least. But no matter; Joon was and still is a happy go lucky kind of child, and although gets worried and anxious easily is also soothed quickly as his troubles melt away as soon as they were formed.

Yonghwan used to be his closest friend growing up; very much like a brother to him, in a lot of ways. He often quietly, secretly wished that Yonghwang indeed would be his brother, not only in spirit but also in blood, but such things cannot be changed no matter how much you might wish for it. Having been only recently reunited with Yonghwan (in his adult form) they have a lot to catch up on as well, but to his child self there is no awkwardness, no distance between them. He is an affectionate child deep down, and pleased to find himself with someone he holds so dear and near his small, soft heart. “Joon hungry.”

❝ JOONIE? ❞ DID HE HEAR correctly? Well, whatever the child’s full name may be, his parents should take better care to not leave their child to run amok. Perhaps a stern warning should be in place. However, the feeling of irritation is quickly dissipated by the child’s nuzzling into the crook of his neck. Something was oddly familiar, yet utterly puzzling. Yonghwan’s eyes narrow for a brief moment, before he takes a step forward. Where is Joonmyun anyways? Hmm. He’ll just have to find him later. With one hand wrapped firmly around the young one, his slender fingers slip into the confinement of his pockets, fumbling slightly to lace themselves around his cellular device. Perhaps there was a text sent. Peering down, it was blank. No unread messages, not incoming texts. His phone had full bars and it wasn’t as though he hadn’t been able to receive reception all morning. Nor has he ever encountered such an issue. Hmm. With a sigh, he places the phone back into the pocket’s of his slim-fitted slacks. His lingering thoughts on Joonmyun are interrupted by the infant and the CEO turns to face him. God, this child looks so familiar. ❝ You’re hungry? ❞ Well, there was the break room in the building. Maybe they could find something there and maybe there would be employees on break who’d be able to lead this child back to his parents. With a warm smile tugging at the corners of his lips, he responds, ❝ All right Joonie, let’s get you something to eat. What would you like? ❞ Even if this was quite a peculiar establishment of events, it was always best to make sure the child felt safe and secure. Besides, a lost child would feel worse knowing that he or she is lost. Still, quite the adventurous child to have found his way to his office. With that, he carries the infant with him out of his office and into the hallways of the structure.

Slowly his body follows suit and now he stands before her, his attention fixated on not only what was asked but at her body movements. ❝ Strawberry Cheesecake. ❞ A pause. ❝ Why do you ask? ❞ Yonghwan was never big on sweets. Which was very different from how the rest of his family functioned. Having a sweet tooth was almost second nature to his parents. If he did not have tea with whatever sweets were presented to him ( seeing how declining was rude ), he would suffer from uncontrollable twitching from all the sugar. So he normally would opt out for the least of the sweetest cakes and pastries on any given menu for that particular reason. Just as his curiosity grows, he suddenly decides to brush it off. Whatever her reasons are, well, when the time came he’d find out, right? ❝ Never mind. You have your reasons. ❞ Besides, he had other matters that were of greater importance. Cake was the last thing he should think about.

It would have been simple. Call off work, have his secretary cancel any meetings that he was to have that week and say that he was taking care of some personal matters. A slip of the tongue costed him the company of a young woman who was presently by his side with a bowl of soup in her hands. Dark optics avert themselves away from staring at the ceiling from his couch towards the steam that rose up from the contents of the porcelain, white bowl. Slowly he propped himself up properly with his back pressed against the furniture as eyes still remain attentive to the concave dish in her hands.❝ Rest assured, love, if you’ve had your vaccination you should be fine. ❞ His large hand raises up and an index points at the garment she had covering her mouth. ❝ You had better keep that on if you plan on staying her any longer, too. ❞ That was the other thing that he loathed. The idea that he could potentially be contagious to someone else. Hindering their health was the last thing he wanted, especially her. Seeing how she was an up and coming idol, sickness was probably the last thing she would want on her plate. ❝ I have vitamins and orange juice in the fridge, if you need any. Just precautions. ❞ A heavy sigh seeps through the small gap between his lips and those heavy set of eyes gaze upwards towards her very own. ❝ Thank you, ❞ he utters, almost too quietly.

THICK BROWS FURROW as he stares out into the distance. The building was filled with numerous sounds; that from the people present and the other from the machines. Lights flicker and flash while voices holler victory or grunt in failure. It had been years, a whole decade even, since he had stepped foot into an establishment such as this. Back when he had spare time to waste away on playing video games and winning prizes. Ever since he returned to Seoul from acquiring his bachelor’s degree at Washington University, most of his attention had shifted towards becoming a better candidate to take over his family’s hotel. Then after he had taken over as the CEO, most of his time was spent working. With the occasional vacation somewhere. Never to an arcade though. Chocolate irises remain focused on the objects in front of him while his lips part. ❝ Why did you choose an arcade, though? ❞ He was curious and intrigued. Most people her age, or even his age, were more keen on attending social gatherings that involved drinking alcoholic beverages. An arcade would not have been his first choice. However, just standing there in front of the building, lit up a fire within him that he hadn’t felt in years. His former self as a child urges him forward and he could feel his left leg inch forward, but he halts his muscles, awaiting to hear what she had to say before coyly suggesting that perhaps it’s not a bad idea to go in for a few minutes. Besides, maybe things had changed since the last time he had been in one.

The event was put on for charity, one that revolved around books and how various third world countries did not have such privilege to lay their hands on any form of hardcover or paperback spine. To flip through the pages and smell the scent of dark print on pieces of parchment. To just plainly read. As someone who works alongside books, he felt it natural to invite her. However, what he did not realize at the time of sending the invitation was perhaps she would not know the other attendees present. A fault, a flaw he did not look to when asking for her presence. So now that there was suddenly melodious cantos being sung and instrumental accompaniment playing in the background, the ballroom turned into just that. A room where guests mingled and danced if they so please. His chocolate hues peer down at those delicate fingers laced around his forearm, urging him to follow her towards the center of the room. To refuse would be the most severe sign of man without honor, stripping him clean of the title ‘gentleman.’ A soft sigh parts from his nostrils, while he shifts his gaze from her towards the sea of bodies that had already intertwined their fingers, moving like a wave to the music. Placing his hand on top of hers, he removes them only to press his now free hand against the small of her back, ushering her forward as he strode along side her. ❝ Well then, let’s make this as marvelous as possible shall we? Though, ❞ He leans towards her ear and whispers, ❝I’m sure you shall be the one thing all guests here shall marvel at. ❞

THIS WOMAN WAS UTTERLY serious. Both hands rose up to display no sign of protest against her wishes. In fact, he was sort of enjoying the way she was singing along to the song. Why she had stopped to make that remark, he wasn’t quite sure. Perhaps it was the way he had stopped and gawked while reaching for a clean towel at the counter or just the fact that he had stopped in general. Whatever the reason was, she could keep on singing as much as she wanted to. As for joining along well― ❝ I feel like if I were to join you I would just taint the song. Your voice is lovely enough as is. ❞ The corners of his mouth curl upward into a playful smile. Slender digits clutch at the towel and Yonghwan brings it closer to his face, wiping clean of the sweat that was slowly trickling down the side of his cheeks. In truth, he had no idea what song it was that she was singing. Let alone what song it was that she was singing along with. For someone who had lived in Seoul for quite some time, he was never really one to keep up to date with the newest Korean Wave craze in terms of music. Not unless of course it was being promoted at the hotel. Either way, oddly enough, her voice sort of complimented the song.
