dangerous woman;

     “i can’t help you much there,” he said, dropping a bunch of his own books on the table in front of him. he and zoe knew each other from the time he spent on set of the movie she played lead in. his father was the director, so landon was around almost constantly that summer. “when you transfer, did you know they expect you to make up all of the work?” he asked. 

“i can tell you have your own workload to take care of.” zoe sighed, looking down at the papers she had in front of her. “i’m not sure. i started here right after i got done with west drive. but i can try to help you out.”

‘Obviously Im on this list’ Rhia thought as she put her phone back into her purse. She wasnt shocked she was on the list after a short time, I mean after all her plan was to rule the school. She was now one step ahead, “Hey!” she called out to the first person she saw. “Wheres the closest mall? I need new shoes,”

“New shoes, huh? Lucky for you, the mall isn’t that far from here. And it just so happens that I need a new wardrobe. So let’s make a deal. I’ll help you pick out shoes and you help me pick out clothes. Deal?” 

      “i wouldn’t applaud me just yet. i could still be dropped from the class if i start doing poorly so early,” he pointed out. “but yeah, definitely not. i guess i’ll just be winging it and hoping for the best.” 

“aren’t your parents going to kill you if you don’t get a good grade in this class?” she asked, shrugging her shoulders as she looked over at him. “maybe you should get a tutor or something. that’s what my mom would make me do.”

“So I volunteered at a pet adoption fair this morning and now I really want to adopt a puppy,” Frankie sighed before looking up at the person next to her. “What do you think?”

“You really think your parents would let you get a puppy? I feel like they’re a little too... Uppity for that. But I’m all for teenage rebellion so you should totally get one, Franks.” 

      “turns out, leaving my ap calc book in my locker when i have a huge test tomorrow? not my best moment,” zane said. he’d been putting off studying for the past few days. usually, with math especially, he could wing it. but this chapter had been a killer. between football practice, his off-season training for soccer, and weekly sessions with his therapist, his academics had taken a hit already. he really couldn’t afford a low score.

“ap calc? i applaud you for taking the course. i don’t think i could it. but yeah, you’re right. leaving your book in your locker probably wasn’t your smartest idea.” zoe wasn’t sure what she could say to try and help the situation without being rather blunt about it. 

      “i’m assuming you’re the right kind of people, then?” emilia asked. “and also… that you could show me more of the right kind of people?” she added. “i mean, i already know most of the grade 10 class, but other than that, i’m lost,” she said with a laugh. “i went to a performing arts school last year, but it didn’t work out. i went to middle school with the kids here, so i thought, might as well just come to the same high school.” 

“a performing arts school, huh? sounds like i’m not the only actress around here. sounds good. i have someone to help me practice for auditions then.” zoe grinned, walking with the other girl toward ms. oh’s classroom. “and here we are.”

“Seems to be something we have in common,” Rhiannon said as she turned to the girl. She looked her up and down and nodded her head, sort of approving the girl. “Rhiannon Alexander, and you?”

“Zoe Rivas. Degrassi’s resident queen bee. Something tells me that we’ll get along just fine, Rhiannon.” Zoe smirked, looking over at the girl standing next to her.

“i’m sure it’s going to be a lovely year!” imogen beamed. “with miss zoe rivas on her throne, how could it not be?”

“trust me when i say that is going to be a year at degrassi nobody will ever forget!” 

“queen bee zoe rivas,” zig replied, a smile playing on his lips. “i think we all know that degrassi is all yours.”

“i always knew there was a reason i liked you, zig.” zoe couldn’t help but grin up at him. “only you and a few others seem to get me around here.” 

     ❛ finally .  someone with a winning attitude . ❜  tris grinned ,  that was the kind of confidence he liked in the people surrounding him .  the constant complaining about the start of school was beginning to tire him out .   

“What can I say? Someone has to be the voice of reason around here. Why not let it be me?” Zoe grinned. “Negative people are seriously a buzzkill.”

“oh, well i guess we’ll be spending some time together then. hopefully a friendly face? being the new kid, halfway through the year nonetheless, isn’t exactly easy,” she said. “i’m emilia. thanks for being an impromptu tour guide, by the way.”

“that we shall. zoe rivas. degrassi’s resident queen bee. just align yourself with the right people and you’ll do pretty great around here. i know i have.” zoe smirked, looking over at emilia, who she could hopefully see as a friend and not a foe. “any reason for the sudden transfer?”
