it poses a personally interesting question to me, do these vampires ever truly change? can cycles be broken if you’re immortal? are you bound to fall back into your old habits? are they frozen in the same dispositions they have when they were turned? states of fear, or grief, or arousal? will they continue to hurt claudia long after her death?

But what I yearn for/suspect is that Armand needs an arc, and I could see the show going in a direction where Akasha attempts to recruit him by swaying him to her cause. Maybe he almost joins her, or is at least sympathetic to her, but ultimately resists. And by resisting her, he finally breaks the classic Armand cycle of endlessly devoting himself to some order or master to fill the abandonment hole in his heart, so he doesn’t have to reckon with Being An Individual With Autonomy. In conclusion resisting Akasha could be Armand’s first real step toward Being Normal. Just a thought… also boy where is ur eye even.
