Evaluating our product- butt buffers . We had a presenting and trying out day today . Where our group presented our product of the butt buffers to the design for business class and to the lecturer herself . We explained our product and how it fits the brief and that students will no longer have sore , numb , painful butts after they use this product . We also told them that our product is different from all our competitors as we have a unisex range of butt buffers which are all attractive and can be customized to suit each individual student . The product also provokes consumers or our target group to buy it because of the desirability of its looks and no more sore butts . The feasibility is also portrayed as the research and background product making has helped to finish this product successfully. The feedback we had recieved from the class was to add the four strings on each four corners of the cushion-like butt buffers . This is because when they tried sitting on it , it would move a lil . But we took there advice perfectly well as we had already planned to do and make the strings but did not have enough time to attatch the four strings to the four corners of the butt buffers .

As you can see from her facial expressions she looks very happy , smiling and cheerful . This tells me that the cushion-like butt buffer is very comfortable and fulfills what our brief had stated . Which was to provide students with a product that will no longer give students in the design class sore , numb , painfull butts. We had also asked the class in design for business to give us reviews on what they liked about our product. They gave us feed back such as “ it was soft ” , “looked attractive ” ,“loved how we have unisex designs to suit all students not just female ” .

Cushion-like butt buffers for target group of students doing design at AUT . This product will suit all students both female and men as it comes in these two above designs and more . This is because we wanted our design of our product of a butt buffer to be suitable for men and woman in AUT. So we have created a unisex range of designed butt buffers which can be suitable for both female and men . These butt buffers are soft, fluffy , pretty and exact size 30cm by 30cm to suit and be a perfect size for the tin stools in the design class . These butt buffers will give students sensation when they sit on these cushion-like butt buffers. The product is very desirable and feasible . So students can finally say bye bye to numb , sore , painful butts & can concentrate in class more .

Log 13 - touch ups are important in making the final product perfect and concise 🙎🏻☝🏼️👌🏼 - Adding buttons to the cushion-like butt buffers to add a visual look of a cushion and cutting threads and stitches that are no longer needed or need to be re done . "They say for a product to sell it needs perfection & it must fufill the needs and wants of a consumer - or in or groups case students".

Log 12 - time to stuff these butt buffers 💞 cushions both printed zebra print and plain grey cotton butt buffer/cushions have been sewed . Now it is time to use this polyester craft filling to stuff into the already made cushion or buttbuffer like material . This is to make sure it gives students a soft , sensation under there butts when they sit on it . - time to get to work . ✨👊🏽

Log11 - 🙌🏼❤️product making in progress - hand stitching to make it stronger and to avoid ripping and breaking . Have used a sewing machine for sewing all three ends and now hand stitching all three ends to make sure the butt buffer / cushion doesnt rip or break when students sit on it .

Log 10 - oops - shopping is done 🙆🏻💰🙊 Money is wellspent . Got all the materials and things I need for product making . Time to start making the final product .

log 6 - Inspirational design ideas for butt buffer covers😍 . Some creative , attractive design ideas that will help my group to make a decision about what kind of design they would like on our product of a butt buffer /seat pad.

This is the final hand drawn prototype design our group has chosen to go fourth with as it provides not only functionality but is easy to make with the time frame. This product is a seat pad , a zebra print fluffy , soft material which is to be sewn with a sewing machine and then it is to be hand sewn to make sure that the seat pad doesn’t open up or rip . After the cushion / seat pad is sewn it is ready to place the stuffing which is polyester inside the cushion or seat pad to create a soft feeling of comfort when students sit on it . The design of the prototype is unisex which is one other reason we chose this prototype design. It comes in different materials , colours , designs and designs . The four strings at the end of the cushions provide stability so it doesn’t slip off when students sit on it .

As you can see the numbers next to each prototype design represents the most attractive and reasonable design which can be made on time while looking both functionable as well as attractive and creates comfort for our consumers and follows the brief. So the numbers 1 on a timeline represents most reasonable prototype design to be done in the time frame given and 4 being unreasonable . We had to take the time frame and getting materials and making the products into consideration while making the decision of which prototype will best suit our students of target group and which prototype can be done perfectly well in the time frame given as most people in our group has work which clashes with making the product and getting the material .
