Considering making this a mini series (if i do i'll set it up similar to my lando one. one chapter of b4 you and oscar broke up + moodboards. sooo lmk and i'll start thinking of a fc r smth) SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG ITS EXAM WEEK (thats also why its kinda short)

Part One

Evie and Lachie had run for the front door before you could stop them. Someone had rung the doorbell, and they were off. "Mummy! There's a guy here!"

You walk down the hallway and stop, "How the hell did you-"

"Mum asked your mum. Said I wanted to meet them." He lets himself in, and Lachie closes the door after him. Oscar looks down at Evie, "She really does look like Edie."

You cross your arms and stare your children down, "What have I said about opening the door? Get upstairs. Now."

They scurry off upstairs. Oscar looks over at you, "Are you gonna make this easy or-?"

"They're quite obviously yours, Oscar."

"Oh, so you admit it?"

You roll your eyes and prop your hands on your hips. Oscar continues, "I want to get to know them. If you say no, I'll insist on the DNA test and get-"

"Lawyers involved. Jesus, Oscar. I don't have the money to get lawyers involved. Can't exactly say no."

He nods, "So?"

You turn to go up the stairs, "I'll bring them back down." Two little children come bounding down the stairs a few minutes later, you trailing behind them. They settled on the couch, watching the TV, which was playing SpongeBob. Oscar follows, sitting in one of the armchairs as you turn off the TV. "We gotta talk."

Lachie nods, "Okay."

Evie points at Oscar, "Is it about him?"

"Don't point, Evie. It's rude. But yes. It is. Remember when I said your dad and I broke up before I had you?"

Evie is practically vibrating in her spot, "He's our dad?!"

Lachie shoves Evie, "Take a breath."

"Hey! You pushed me!"

"You were yelling!"

"You're yelling!"

"You're both yelling! Inside voices," Lachie instantly sinks back into the chair when you scold them.

Oscar looks at them, "Hi, I'm-"

"Oscar Piastri. Everybody talks about you in school. We know who you are," Lachie cuts him off, immediately cringing when you narrow your eyes.

"Lachlan Cooper, manners."

Oscar smiles, "It's fine. Really."

Evie stares, "Why did you leave mum?"

"Genevieve!"

"I was gonna ask for their names, but I've just been told."

Evie leans over Lachie, laying herself across his lap, "My middle name's Rose."

"Very pretty middle name."

"I thought so too!"

Lachie looks up at you, "Make her get off me!"

"Evie. Off your brother."

She huffs but settles back into her chair. "Can we watch Spongebob again?"

Oscar's hand holds Jamie down, guiding her through the paddock via her shoulder , making sure she doesn't bounce around like normal. Alison and Lily trail behind him, talking about an article Ali was writing for work. "Daddy! Look it's Lewis Hamilton!"

Oscar nods, "It is, Jay."

"He's red!"

Alison pat's Jamie's head from behind them, "Yeah, baby, moved to Ferrari this season."

The kid is practically vibrating when Oscar decides enough is enough and swings her up onto his hip, "C'mon, Jay. You need to take a breath before you turn into a kangaroo."

She huffs, "Mummy!"

Alison sticks her tongue out, "At least you don't have to walk."

Oscar grins, glancing at the camera taking photos of Jamie, and pulling her cap down to cover her face more, "You don't mind the pictures, do you, Jay?"

"No."

Lily smiles, "Tell us if you change your mind."

Jamie nods, pushing the cap back up her face when Oscar puts her down in the McLaren motor home, greeting his engineer. Alison wraps her hand around Jamie's, making sure she can't disappear. "I'll get you in my driver's room, then I think they want me for something. Before we have to be on the grid for the anthem."

Lily nods at her boyfriend, "S'alright. Jay has homework to do anyway."

Jamie pouts, "No, I don't."

"Yes, you do. You have to finish that maths worksheet," Alison says softly, "Don't be difficult about it."

The child huffs but nods, resigned to her fate.

It was almost comical how fast Sky Sports shoved a camera in Jamie's face when Oscar went off on lap 44. The little girl's face was scrunched up, turned up towards her mother. Lily's hands flew over her mouth, and Alison's went to squeeze Jamie's shoulders. Alison says something to Jamie, "He's okay."

Post-race, Jamie was devastated. Oscar could've been the first Australian to win the Australian Grand Prix, but then he spun out. Lando won. Her dad didn't. She was incredibly bitter on Oscar's behalf. When Alison ran into Lando later that afternoon, with Jamie holding her hand, she refused to meet the man's eye. "I take it she's just as happy as Osc."

"Worse. He's taken it on the chin. Jamie, however, has decided that you're her mortal enemy and rain needs to be banished from the face of the Earth."

Lando laughs a little, looking down at her, "Oh, am I really?"

She nods petulantly, refusing to look at him still. He leans down, "What if I buy you chicken nuggets?"

"Daddy said no chicken nuggets. I had them almost every night last week."

Lando whispers conspiratorially, "Then we'll keep it our secret."

Part Two

It had all started when Nicole Piastri spotted you in the local grocery store. You were pushing a trolley, with two children beside you. A boy and a girl. Both in school uniforms, both arguing over something trivial as you put things into the trolley. “Can you two act like civilised humans? For once?”

“But mum! He’s wrong!”

You barely turn your head, handling it with practised ease. And then Nicole’s brain switched on. Mum? You were a mother? “Evie, it doesn’t matter. Chips are chips.”

“But salt and vinegar are the best!”

And then the boy chimes in, “Nah uh, honey soy chicken!”

You put something else in the trolley, “They’re both good. Now stop arguing or I’ll put the ice cream back.”

And they went quiet. Mumbling out a small ‘sorry’ each. You keep moving down the aisle, pausing to grab things. Evie almost bumps into Nicole, “I’m really sorry!”

“It’s okay. No harm, no foul.”

She watched the second your back straightens before you turned around with a smile. “Hi.”

She smiles back, “Been a while, hasn’t it?”

You nod, “Seven years.”

“Are you doing alright?”

“Never better. You?”

The boy tugs on your arm, uncomfortable, “No complaints. I didn’t know you had kids.”

“Like I said, it’s been seven years. Lotta things change.”

“They sure do.”

Things had changed. Lots of things. First, Oscar was off around the world being a superstar. Living his dream. Second, you were stuck in the same place with two kids, and a job you hated. You’d grown. Matured. No longer the 17-year-old Nicole was so accustomed to seeing in her living room. Now you’re 24, with two kids. Different hair. Different clothes. Different makeup. Different everything. The two kids you had with you were newish. The boy had shaggy blonde hair and a wicked tan, brown eyes, shark tooth necklace. If Nicole would guess, a surfer. Which meant you didn’t live in Brighton anymore. If she remembered correctly, it was your dad’s birthday or something soon. That would be why you were back here, obviously straight after school pick up.

“You still live ‘round here?”

“No, Mornington. Dad’s birthday, stayin’ in a B&B, needed food.”

So she was right. You’d grabbed the kids and made the two hour journey right after school. She turned her attention to the little girl. Brown hair, eyes that matched yours. She looked similar to Edie when- Oh my god. “How old are they?”

You pause before saying, “Seven.”

And then you turn quickly and head for the checkout. Seven. Born in 2018. You and Oscar had broken up in August that year, when he was already back in England for school. Nicole quickly followed suit. She had to tell Chris.

When you and Oscar were thirteen you met at school, it was February of 2014. You were new, and he had been assigned as your buddy. That was that. End of story. Two peas in a pod. By 2016 he was in England, and your boyfriend. Would you ever recommend a long distance relationship at the ripe old age of fifteen to anyone? No. Absolutely not. But you managed it. The next year things started to fall apart. You two convinced yourself when he’d come home over his summer holidays (winter) that everything was fine. It was not. You argued. You made up. Over and over again. When he left for school you held out a little longer before he called it. A week later you were telling your parents you were pregnant. By twenty you’d found a small little house in Mornington, and your parents had agreed to help you pay for it. So you and your two little toddlers packed up and left for two hours away. That was that. End of story. 

Oscar had come home during a break, Nicole didn’t even notice her son sitting at the kitchen table with his sisters. “Chris, you’ll never believe what I just saw at the store!”

Chris shakes his head, “I’m sure I will believe it, Nicole.”

She pauses, putting the shopping bags on the counter, and looking over at Chris again, “Two adorable little children. One of them looked a lot like Edie when she was young. Seven year old.” Oscar furrows his eyebrows, letting his mum continue, “Haven’t seen their mum since winter of 2017. Used to sit on our couch and watch movies, curled up under a blanket with one of Oscar’s hoodies.”

The kitchen erupts.

Rumours first started when Lando blew a kiss to someone on the Monaco top step. Then again when McLaren posted a video of him staring at something or rather someone, with the corner’s of his lips curled up, eyes unbelievably soft and warm, looking like he was in love. And just when everything died down again, Lando was photographed leaving a daycare, a little girl, in a princess dress, clutching onto his hand, and a princess themed backpack slung over his shoulder. But what grabbed everybody's attention was the fact the little girl looked nothing like him. She was pale, freckled little cheeks, bright red hair pulled into two curly pigtails with little pom-poms attached. The only resemblance was her wide, bright green eyes. And even that was stretching it. And when he was asked about it during the next press-conference?

“I don’t see what that has to do with anything. We’re here for racing. Not to entertain people taking photos of children without permission. It was a gross violation of privacy and that’s all I’m saying about it.”

Max chimes in beside him, “Are there any other questions about this weekend or are we done here?”

Ultimately it was George who gave confirmation. It wasn’t like he meant to. Hell, even he didn’t know how people got where they did with it. But he was walking through the paddock one day with a bright pink ribbon tied around his wrist, and when F1 TV cut to the Mercedes garage during the race, they saw a pink bunny sitting on Carmen’s lap. And when he was asked what helped him win that weekend, he smiled and said he’d had some help. “One of my mate’s daughter’s, actually. Insisted I needed some ‘princess power’ to win this weekend. Cheeky little thing was right.”

And the people went wild, combing through all of George’s friends' social media pages. Until someone got on Twitter, with a photo from Lando’s account, with a bright pink ribbon visible in the corner. And that was it. Lando Norris had a daughter. She knew the grid. And she’d given George princess powers.

When Lando got home after that weekend he was greeted by a flurry of pink. Pink poster paper on the floor, pink glitter, pink paint, princess stickers. And sitting in the middle of it was the little girl, in a princess dress with a tiara perched precariously on her head. Her eyes were sparkling with glittery eyeshadow, lips stained with a bright pink lipstick, cheeks covered in too much blush. Next to her sat you, in one of your nicer dresses, tiara also on your head, makeup done much more messily than the little girls. The second the door shuts, a loud squeal erupts from the mess, and the little girl is standing up and running towards Lando, “Lala!”

You let out an exasperated sigh, “Olivia, it’s daddy. Or dad. Not Lala.”

“Mila and ‘Thea call him Lala!”

“Because he’s not their daddy, uncle Ollie is.”

Lando lets out a soft ‘oomph’ as his daughter lands. He reaches down to pick her up, brushing his nose against her’s, “Hello, Princess Livie. Have you behaved?”

She nods, “Best princess of all the lands!”

“Oh, really?!”

He had that look on his face, the one he always did around her, the one that made him look 15 years younger, like he was Livie’s age again. Pure, unfiltered, childish, joy. You stand up slowly, dodging the mess of pink, “We were making a flag.”

Lando hums, leaning down to kiss you quickly. Livie screeched, “My Lala!”

“You can have your Lala when you go back to calling him daddy, like you’re supposed to.”

Lando looks around the apartment, “I can go give Livie a bath. Let you get some of this under control.”

“I’m showering after.”

“I know. I’ll clean her up. Give her lunch if she hasn’t had any and then put her down for a nap.”

You nod, “Deal.”

By the time Lando had gotten Livie down for a nap, you’d put lunch in the oven for him and put on the show you were watching. He sat down on the couch next to you, lifting his arm up so you could curl up underneath him. “Everybody knows about Livie’s princess powers.”

You hum, eyes trained on the screen, resting your head on his chest. “I still want to keep her out of the media.”

He runs his hand over your hair, “I know, love. We’ll keep her out of it.”

Eventually, the media circled back to it, asking questions again. They’d figured out Lando had a daughter. But now they were asking why they looked nothing alike.

He shrugged simply, “Doesn’t really matter, does it?”

But they’d kept asking. And after weeks of getting the same answer, they were finally given something different. 

Kay, so it's called the questions series, because all the synopses end with a question! I'll add the books part by part and I'll put the links to them because otherwise i'll go over the photo limit. also it's a two parter. I've got a 'mini' questions series that I drafted last year b4 some of the got signed. Also the max one has WAY more moodboards than the others bcs I got tired of making them and niki's besties with a few people on the grid.

Also, most of the girls in the main series have a mental health problem me and my best friend scripted them for awareness and I'm hoping I can write them properly.

I'm hoping to have the mini's moodboards up by the end of the weekend so yeah. For now, have basic ones bcs I dont wanna make banners for them yet. Also my friend came up with the Kimi one and I don't have a moodboard for her yet so I'm putting her at the bottom.
