2/10 Flawless TV Ensemble Cast (in no particular order) ↳ The Mentalist

Because of what he went through he could be so jaded about love but he really isn't.

Red John definitely did a number on him but it mostly made him scared to be in a serious relationship with someone out of fear for their safety. Jane had a deep rooted and well founded fear that anyone he dates would become a target for Red John's vendetta.

But I love the way that Jane cries while watching weddings. Him watching Van Pelt and Rigsby get married while he cries destroys me!! And I think he cries because he does so want to be married and married to Lisbon at that. But he doesn't feel like he can have it... at least at that time.

There's that exchange between Jane and Lisbon in 3x11...

Jane: Got his marriage back. Seems like a fair trade to me.

Lisbon: Aren't you the romantic?

Jane: Makes the world go round

And that's not even getting into all the numerous grand romantic gestures he did for Lisbon once they started dating and even before they started dating.
