You had created a memory chip, in order for the clone to work. You had hoped that you would be alive to study your clone if they ever decided to make it. As the video of you talking and explaining began to reach it's end, your clone...no, you, you let out a sorrowful sigh.

Your death had happened, as much as you wanted to deny. But why? How on Earth did you, a nerdy, cooped up teenage scientist die? You weren't near war, you knew nothing of combat or how to hold a gun.

" Why did you clone me?" You asked, turning towards General Ardmore, who was standing behind you-watching you." Well look at your body, it's the most efficient Avatar we've seen to date." She paused the video of you explaining something that had lost your interest awhile ago.

" But the issue is, we can't seem to find the notes you used to help create the Avatar DNA." You nodded, rubbing your chin with your right hand. You had four fingers, four toes, and no eyebrows: the main problems of the Avatar bodies. Of course, you still had some odd humanly features, like your body was more human-like, less skinny and bit more fat where the Na'vi tend to be more muscular in. Your ears were a bit more round at the tip and your eyes were a tad smaller. Though, you could easily claim odd genetics, and some might not even notice.

This intrigued you; you don't even remember making your notes. You wanted to know exactly what you did to create such an odd but more natural Avatar." And you need me to recreate the notes for you?"

" Yes, we've had some close ones; cloned with one less finger or no eyebrows, but we've yet to reach your level of genius." She smiled, bumping your shoulder.

" Grown scientists couldn't figure out a child's equation?" You raised a brow at her and she mimicked your face." Well, you are a prodigy born from a prodigy." You turned around in your chair, facing her a bit more." Wouldn't it all be documented in a system somewhere, you can check back on that stuff, correct?"

" Well, that would be the case if the stuff hadn't been erased." She sighed, she moved on her feet." By who?" There must've been several people in on some plan to erase so much data and information.

" Dr. Max Patel and Dr. Norm Spellman had completely corrupted and ruined the files related to your research and more," She began to explain, a bitter look appearing on her face." But Jake Sully was the leader of their group and the one who initiated the attacks on us."

" Jake Sully?" You asked, furrowing your forehead, much like you would do with your eyebrows. You've heard the name being whispered since you awoke, but you didn't know who it was.

" He was human..but whatever got to his head made him turn on his own race. He was the one who lead the attack on our soldiers, killing many of our men and women. Including you and your mother."

As soon as the last sentence left her mouth, you felt as if you were suffocating. Nobody had given you a name or even a thought that you and your mother had been murdered. You raised the oxygen mask to your face and took a big, long breath.

" How do you know it was this, Jake Sully?" You asked, and she nodded, beginning to pull up something on the computer." Grace had went missing around the time Jake and Norm had stolen one of our aircrafts with the help of Captain and ex-Marine, Trudy Chacón. When we had found Grace's body there was a bullet wound that matched the gun of Jake Sully."

She brought up pictures of the bullet side by side comparison, as well as an image of who you assumed was Trudy with a gun, running behind your mother who looked worried and frightened. But, it didn't look right. Something was off, but that worry flew right to the back of your head.

You didn't care, you had someone to blame for your mother's death, you had a fixation now that could keep you from falling into a worse depressive hole than you already fell into. You ignored your gut feeling so that you could find comfort somewhere, even if it was revenge that was your solace.

3 months later+

" I'm sure you already know about Colonel Miles Quaritch." Ardmore waved towards the cloned Colonel next to her." You will be accompanying him on his mission to the old battlefield. The shuttles that were used by Jake are there, the one I had showed you is the only one we have found so far. You are there to help navigate the forest and help with any technological difficulties they might have."

" Yes, ma'am." You bit back a grin; you were ecstatic about finally being able to get out onto the field. You had been helping them track Jake, as well as figure out defensive and offensive strategies to protect the cargo.

Some had worked, but eventually Jake and his followers found a way around it, which aggravated you. How come he just didn't die, he's just like a cockroach.

After a heavily boring speech from Ardmore, you found yourself walking a few steps behind Quaritch. He seemed rather annoyed that he was bringing a child on his mission, he had voiced his concerns about them even recom'ing you, but they waved him off. In his opinion, if you turned once (which you weren't-and planned to never be-aware of), then you would most likely do it again.

He also didn't think your presence was needed, but Ardmore had grown a bit soft with you and you were practically begging to go into the forest. She allowed it of course, he always thought you were a spoiled brat with no discipline, everyone always falling for your puppy eyes. And now that you're twice your size, you were constantly breaking things and whacking people. You were never one to watch your surroundings, you were the clumsiest person he'd ever met.

So, imagine his horror when he found out he'd be the one to babysit you. Not just on this mission, but you would be placed within his section of the building with his team. If he could walk out, he would've, he didn't favor children-hell even his comrades were pushing his patience.

After walking and talking a bit with Ardmore, she eventually left leaving you and Quaritch in awkward silence. Honestly, being in the presence of a trigger happy, murderous marine recom, made you uneasy. The damage he had done to the forest and to the Omatikayan people was monstrous, and even if those were the people you were fighting against now you still sympathized with them. You had heard him before talking loud and proud about what he had done to his friends, and it really dented any professional relationship you had wished to have with him.

" So, when will we leave?" You asked, breaking the awkward silence with an awkward question. You folded your hands behind your back and eyed him from your peripheral view. " We leave in an hour, get packed and ready quick I don't wait for laggy's." His voice was curt and short, stabbing through the thick awkward air with a sharper suffocating tone.

You scrunched your face in displeasure, scoffing under your breath as you turned sharply around towards your dorm." What a bunch of baloney, you could've just said that before we walked past my room." You snapped at him from over your shoulder.

" If yer goin' to talk that way to me lil' lady, then we'll have to rediscuss the decision to let you out on the field." He sneered and you rolled your eyes not responding to his bite back.

Before you had gotten onto the helicopter, Quaritch chastised you for being snippy with him earlier and how if it were to happen again you would immediately be removed from his team.

Of course, you just rolled your eyes and ignored everything he said. " The forest is dangerous"" ya' need'a follow my commands" blah,blah,blah. He loved to talk, especially when the talking was one-sided, it only made him more aggravating to be around.

The ride was silent, nobody really chatted much, and you didn't get to know their names very well, so you were kind of blanked. You just enjoyed the ride, the fresh air, watching the bird's fly past.

Unbeknownst to any of you, Lo'ak, Tuk, Kiri, and Spider were adventuring their way to the spot close to where you planned to land. Which when you did land, you almost jumped out of the Helicopter as it was landing.

" Woah now, slow you horses." Quaritch warned you, gripping the back of your collared shirt as you tried to jump from the Helicopter." Now, I want you to stay close and alert ya hear, nobody is dyin' today." He gripped his belt, hoisting it up a bit, like those old cowboys do in the old westerns.

" Ya' stay with one of us, ya' won't die. But, if ya' wander off, yer on yer own til' we can find ya'...n' believe me when I say, ya' do not wanna wander off. So keep ya' feet planted with us and yer science-nerdy impulses to a minimum." He ended his little speech with a heavy hand to your shoulder, forcing a response out of you.

" I hear you loud and clear, cowboy." He shrugged, then pulled a gun from a bag on one of the seats." This is yer's now, no better time to learn to use one." He hopped out of the motionless." Let's move out!" He signalled for everyone to follow him, their guns at the ready.

" Fucking baloney man, I've never even held one before." You grumbled to yourself, luckily you were in the back, so mister trigger happy couldn't hear you. The bald one did though, and he turned." It's pretty easy, just point and shoot."

" Yeah, I bet it's reaaal easy for you, bald eagle." You snickered a bit to himself, and his brows furrowed." It's because I'm American huh." He pointed to himself, and you shrugged." Also, cuz you're like...bald." You raised your hands in a shrugging motion and the only other girl in the group pushed your hands down.

" Hey now, let's not get overzealous and start shooting practice early." She popped a bubble gum and gave you a smirk." If you see Jake feel free to begin then."

" Oh ha ha." you rolled your eyes and turned your head towards a plant you've never seen in person before." Hey cool! Look it's a-"

" If you're about to go on a nerd rant about a plant, keep it to yourself." Quaritch snapped quickly and you scowled at his back. It fell silent again until you got to one of the pods. It was obviously abandoned, covered in dirt and plants growing around it and inside. The glass was shattered, and you noticed a crushed link unit, seem to be done by the AMP suit that was laying on the ground.

You approached the AMP suit, looking at the skeletal remains resting inside of it. Then you saw something rustle in the bushes, snapping your head towards the sound you saw a few tails of the Na'vi disappear behind some bushes. You heard whispering as you slowly approached that spot, looking over your shoulder to see the others hovered around a spot near the pod.

Moving the bush to step through, you held your gun tightly to yourself. You heard whispers, so far you could tell it was three people. You peaked your head enough to see who was there. There were two old Na'vi, a younger, and then weirdly enough a human was next to the Na'vi boy.

The boy was whispering to himself, or into an earpiece. You noticed the children had on old throat comms on, about 15 years old, which was around the time Jake had turned against the RDA.

You had no idea what to do, you knew you should probably use your gun but honestly, what was so threatful of a few kids. Before you could make up your mind, the older girl turned her head to the side. She immediately caught the tip of your head peaking out of a bush to look at you.

She gasped a bit, tapping the other boy who turned and looked at you. She gripped the little girl and you awkwardly moved back into the bush. You watched through an opening in the bush to watch as they quietly but quickly moved further away from you.

" Baloney." You whispered, watching as they escaped, but honestly you were more worried for yourself at that moment as you heard Quaritch annoyingly shouting your name.

Rushing back, you accidentally caught your foot on a root that was peaking from the ground. Falling on your face, you let out a pained groan.

" Where the hell was you!" Quaritch shouted, picking you up from the ground by your collar. Placing you on your feet he got in your face, having to kneel down a bit to meet your eye." I told ya kid..do NOT wonder off, stay with one of us!! We saw some people lurkin' around here." he stood up correctly as you looked at the ground, a bit of embarrassment and annoyance covering your face.

" Boss, they are over here!" You heard one of them shout and you knew they were talking about the kids. Your ears went back a bit, but Quaritch ignore it. He thought your reaction was out of embarrassment from being scolded.

" Let us do our job. You can either stay here then when we're done we'll take ya back and talk about whether to keep ya in the feild or you can stay with one of us and continue to come with us out in the forest." He didn't let you respond as he stormed off down towards the rest of the group as you stood in place.

Kiri didn't think you'd hide anything from her, as you both promised to always share everything, and it was very difficult to hide anything from each other. You held your end of the promise... somewhat, you didn't want to worry her or anyone, so you hid it.

You couldn't even turn to Eywa for help, as you couldn't even properly connect to the tree. Mo'at thought it was a sign from Eywa for some greater purpose for you in life, but Norm thought it was something to do with the malfunctioning of your Neural Queue. He explained that the Avatar's body is not as fully functioning as a Na'vi body at times, and you could've unluckily gotten some sort of mutant gene from the human DNA that didn't allow your Neural Queue to work the same as others. It was odd though, you had no issue connecting to animals, just connecting to any trees related to Eywa.

You had tried before, the farthest you had gotten to connecting to Eywa was a white room of sorts. Nothing but you, the brightness of the white around you, and the echos of your voice begging for someone to respond.

That was the day the nightmares had begun, depicting war and violence, filling you with nothing but anger and hatred towards the sky people. On occasions even towards Jake, who you had lashed out at saying to him he was nothing but ' a disgusting alien bringing violence and war wherever he went.' Of course, you apologized and got heavily grounded afterwards, but Neytiri was beginning to worry that the lack of connection you had with Eywa was starting to affect you.

You tried not to let it affect you too much, you tried not to stress over things way beyond your control.

As of now you had your head rested in your hands, sitting crisscross with your elbow resting on your knee. Tuk was playing in the water, looking at surrounding coral and observing the fish.

You tail wagged a bit, moving lazily over the rock you were sitting on. You hear footsteps next to you, several people calling out your name.

" (y/n)!!" Lo'ak was the first to make his way to you, Tuk turning to him with." Hi Lo'ak!" She smiled before a yellow-ish green fish caught her attention; she immediately went back to observing the waters.

" Where's Neteyam?" You asked, your ears perked up at his presence, watching as he plopped himself next to you. He pointed towards the beach." He, Rotxo, and Aonung were right behind me, I don't know where they went though. Don't really care either." He shrugged, placing his feet in the water.

"Oh." You yawned, you were trying your best to stay awake but you knew you'd pass out soon." Hey, do you mind watching Tuk for a little bit?" You asked Lo'ak and he gave you a side eye. He wasn't happy about it but he knew something was bothering you and keeping you up so of course he wasn't going to be apathic towards you and keep you from sleep.

" Yeah sure, be here before dinner though. Mom will be upset if you're not back by then." You nodded and stood up, stretching your body from being in the same position for almost half an hour.

Normally your napping routine included flying (y/i/n) to a random and secluded area and napping together until it was time to head back. That or you let her fly freely through the air as you napped on her back.

This time you wanted to be alone, you currently didn't want to be around anyone or anything. You just wanted to lie down someplace and just sleep. Hopefully dreamless.

You made your way into the woods, not bothering to really watch where you're going, just trying to stay on your feet. You wanted to lay yourself on the ground floor of Pandora and just listen to the heartbeat that echoed from within the empty-feeling heart of Eywa. Your true mother, you may not be able to connect to her with your braid, but you didn't need to.

You could hear her silent comforting words within the wind, whispering in your ear words of encouragement that had never left your parents lips. Your feet carried you across the Earthy flooring of the walkway towards the denser part of the forest. The mother trees, the children, all of their silent voices being carried by the cool breeze.

The sound of the ocean's waves hitting the beach slowly vanished as your ears focused on listening to the birds and rustling of the trees. The longer you listened the more you tried to think of it as the Jungle's trees rustling or the animals singing.

You missed your home, and you will miss it as long as you remained on this planet. You were slowly falling into a depression, missing your home, your people... your family. It wasn't the type of sadness to make you cry, but the sadness that put a hole in your chest and made you feel empty. The Jungle was a part of you, and you missed it terribly.

You laid down on a patch of grass, running your hand over the blades of grass. Feeling the edges of the plant tickle your palm and the tips of your fingers. A comforting warmth drifted over you, the wind dying down as you closed your eyes and listened to the breath of the planet. You slowly began to drift, finally being able to rest.

Red. Orange. Yellow. Fire.

Surrounding you, ingulfing you but it didn't burn. It was like the rage of the flames understood you and you understood it. War almost feeling natural and like your second nature. You felt nothing as you cut through the humans like their life meant nothing to you.

It didn't, you could care less about these murderous and destructive aliens from afar. You wanted them dead, you wanted all of them to disappear. You weren't just angry, or rageful, you were vengeful. You were going to give them what they had given you, you were going to make them feel how you felt as you watched your friends and loved ones die for a fight that would never have happened if it weren't for them.

If it weren't for Jake Sully, HE started this, HE is the reason you are all on the run. Why didn't he just kill them all, why did he let them go back home in one piece. You would've shredded them until they weren't even recognizable, showed them to Eywa, your beloved mother that you would protect her at all costs.

These weren't your thoughts; you would never think this way of your father. What was this dream, who was this unrecognizable being?

You jolted awake, beads of sweat running down your face and tears sprung to your eyes. You hated these feelings, they were so foreign like they weren't even yours, but in a way comforting. You wanted to deny them but, on some level, you knew that you agreed with them.

You stood up and headed your way to a small stream nearby. You splashed water onto your face, wiping the tears from your eyes and staring at your reflection in the water.

You stood up, looking around realizing how late it was. It was way past Eclipse. You ran hand through your hair and drew a breath preparing to be grounded again. This was what? Your third or fourth time breaking a rule or causing trouble. Honestly you didn't care, at this point it'll happen at least every week.

You heard footsteps approaching you and you spun around on your feet in alert. Aonung appeared, he blinked a bit in surprise and then grinned." You have some awesome hearing, I thought I was being sneaky."

You rolled your eyes." You stomp, there's no way you could survive in the woods with those." You pointed at his feet, and he grumbled under his breath." My feet are not that big." He protested, placing a hand on his hip, his ears back in annoyance.

A small silence broke out, and you tried your best to keep your normal aggravating smirk placed on your lips. Aonung could see past it though, he paid enough attention to tell that you were not doing so well. He didn't watch you or anything, he was just very aware and constantly read people. Maybe at times he would watch you with someone and pick up on your mannerisms more than he would with anyone else, but so what you were his friend.

Well...friends a stretch still.

" What's wrong?" He asked, he might not be the best at comforting, but he was willing to try. You brushed him off." Your presence always seems to dampen my mood, have you not noticed?" You teased but he didn't return your teasing.

" I'm serious, whatever's bothering you, you can tell me." Aonung placed himself in front of you and placed a kind hand on your shoulder. Your shoulders tensed and your jaw tightened, the smirk falling off your face for a split second.

" Now what's got you all tinder hearted your big teddy bear!" You pinched the side of his ribs lightly and he instinctively pulled away." What? What is a t-eddy barer??" You slapped a hand over your mouth giggling at his terrible English." Did you just insult me? It is one of those human insults, isn't it?"

Your worries and bad dreams disappeared instantly, Aonung unintentionally brightened your day-or rather night. Speaking of night, you needed to hurry and get back to your families Marui. You looked towards the path that led you back to the beach.

" Don't worry, it's not as late as it seems, just after dinner. Lo'ak and I covered for you so you're fine." He gave you his charming smile, the calmest you've ever seen him be. You grinned, wrapping an arm around his shoulders and dragging him closer to you." You know...I kinda like you a bit now."

" Just a bit?" He teased and he placed a hand on your other shoulder. You put your other hand up and put your pointer finger and thumb almost touching." Just a smidge."

" So does that mean I've finally won you over?" He asked, his tone was light and teasing but he was asking an actual question he's been dying to bring up." Won me over? Hell no!" You shook your head." I'm not gonna be friends with you that easily, you have to do something biiiig." You exaggerated and he rolled his eyes, he should've known he wasn't going to get a real answer out of you.

You tilted your head a bit, feeling some of the water leave your ear." Tilit your head more." He pushed his hand against your head, pushing it down a bit more. You swatted his hand away and he rolled his eyes.

You did as he told you though and flicked your ear while shaking your head a bit. Finally, your hearing came back, and you smiled, less annoyed. You felt a hand wrap around your tail, and you turned around sharply. Aonung had your tail in his hand, inspecting it.

" What do you even use these tails for?" He asked and you grabbed your tail away from him and held it to your chest." It's to help balance and grip and stuff." You grumbled, pulling your tail back behind you." Kind of like how you guys use your slappers to help guide your swimming." You poked his cheek, this time he swatted your hand away.

" Slappers??" He questioned; an amused smile grew on his face." One of your friends used it to slap my brother in the face." You chuckled, honestly that fight was quite humorous to you now." You probably missed it since you were too busy getting your ass beat."

You laughed at him, and he pushed you off your ilu. You could hear his laughter from below the water. Breaching the surface you splashed water at him, hitting his face." Jackass." You hissed, hopping back on your ilu.

" Are we gonna get going or just continue to sit here?" You asked, readjusting your position a bit." Someone's in a hurry. Do you not enjoy my company?" He stuck his bottom lip out, pretending to be upset. " No, I do not." You spoke with a blank stare, obviously joking. At least to you, but Aonung seemed to take this seriously. He looked a bit hurt and you laughed at him.

" I'm just joking you big baby." You poked your elbow at him, and he looked at you annoyed." Besides, isn't that your dream? To be free of the duty to watch the Sully kids?" You teased him with a grin. He scoffed." Yeah, well it's too late for that..now I'm stuck with you guys." He chaffed, then he gestured outward towards the waters." Ready?"

Soon you were headed off again, followed by more of Aonung's silent teasing. The spot wasn't far from where you took a small breather break, but it was far enough from shore that your Marui wasn't in view anymore.

When you came back up for air you stopped next to Aonung." We won't be going outside the reef, right?" You side-eyed him." I don't want you abandoning me." You sent him a teasing look, but your voice had a hint of seriousness to it.

" I would never do that." He started; he flicked your shoulder." I don't want to get in trouble again because of a Sully." You smirked." Oh, it'll happen again as long as you hang around Lo'ak."

" We're here." He stated, ignoring your comment about your littlest brother. He motioned for you to follow him as he got off his ilu and dived into the water. You followed, as fast you could. Of course, you were a bit slower than him, but you still managed to be that fastest out of your siblings.

He didn't seem as annoyed to wait a bit by the coral below as you swam to catch up to him. 'You okay on air?' He signed and you rolled your eyes.' Yes, we haven't even been down here long.' He gave you a look, annoyance on his face.' You're the one who is always going up forest girl.'

You wanted to smack him hard, he was starting to piss you off. You both turned to the fish that were swimming unknowingly near you both. You hid a bit more behind Aonung, scared you would scare off the fish. Your skin was a much more prominent blue, and you took that into consideration when hunting. So, you often placed yourself in a very well-hidden spot or behind the Metkayinan you were hunting with.

Aonung seemed annoyed by this and grabbed you by the arm, pulling you closer.' How are you supposed to hunt hiding like that.' He moved a bit to place you in front, gesturing you to go first. You squinted at him, still not fully trusting him because of what Lo'ak told you.

' Why don't you go first.' You signed to him, nudging him to move in front of you.' I'm not going to leave you.' he aggressively signed back, and you raised your brows at him, not fully believing him. Of course, it was a bit hypocritical considering you took him out here to ditch him.

'Besides, I know you want to ditch me. That's why you're upfront right now.' He smirked, you just blinked at him.' If you do and come back without me, you'll be in serious trouble you know.'

You knew that, in fact you weren't really afraid of that. You thought a bit more, if you wanted to deal with the consequences and soon shrugged.' I'm practically always in trouble anyways.' You turned back to the fish, ears up and focusing on the fish.

You shot a fish, swimming over and taking it in your hands. You sent a small thank you in your head and pulled the arrow out of it. You planned on catching at least three. You had a new plan, a plan to make the Omaticayan infamous spicy bowl. Your favorite dish and the spiciest recipe of your clan.

You would gift it to Aonung and watch him eat it. Knowing him he wouldn't stop eating it as long as you kept teasing him and calling him a baby. A way to get back at him in some way for his bullying but to also avoid trouble.

You'd have to make due with the ingredients, as some of what you need isn't in the area. You were decent in cooking, your mother always demanding you help her cook, so you were at least ninety percent positive of your skills to replace some of the ingredients.

After a bit of hunting, you resurfaced with Aonung, you moved some of the hair out of your face as you hopped onto your ilu's back." That was decent." You broke the silence, and he hummed in agreement.

He was relatively quiet your way back as well, and you wondered what he was thinking.

Your plan to ditch him was long forgotten, if you were being honest, you were never going to actually leave him by himself. You liked his company more than you would care to admit and you actually enjoyed some of his teasing.

Your sister Kiri knew this, both of you knew everything about each other. You didn't have to verbally speak to each other about it either, you guys were just always able to know what the other was going to say. Not mind reading, it was just something that only you and Kiri had, like a connection to each other.

So, you couldn't hide that from her, but nobody else knew because you were stubborn and refused to admit any positive feelings for Aonung.

When you got back after the long and silent-a bit awkward- ride back, you ran to your mother." Mama, I got some fish. Can we make Veysom?" You squatted next to her after your father took the fish to look at them. You managed to catch five fish, a little more than you originally planned but you figured you'd make a separate one for Rotxo, Tsireya, and Aonung.

" Of course, ma (y/n), as long as you find substitutes and seasoning for it." She smiled at you, shooing you away." You are all wet, go dry off and get me the ingredients. We will clean and prepare the fish, take Tuk and Kiri with you."

You had seen Kiri and Tuk on the way to your Marui playing in the shallow water, so you knew where to find them. Veysom required a bit more work, all the bones of the animal must be removed. It was only fair that if they cleaned to meat of the fish you would get the ingredients.

You zigzagged past people in the walkway towards the stairs to the sandy beach. Jogging to your sisters you placed a hand on Tuk's head.

" What's up!" You smiled down at the youngest Sully and she gave you a bright smile in return." (y/n/n), we're trying to build a sandcastle!" She waved towards the pile of sand, that was more like a deformed square than a castle." I..see, well it's very lovely." You gave your best supportive smile and two thumbs up.

Tuk frowned." I know it's shit, you can say it." You grinned and Kiri's eyes went wide." Tuktirey!" She scolded and Tuk ears went back a bit." Oops." You just laughed, earning a smack on the leg from your twin.

" Oh, (y/n) you're back!" You turned your head to see Tsireya running towards you, and you waved at her." Hey, I was just about to leave with my sister to get ingredients for dinner. Want to join?" You asked her as she stopped next to you with her kind smile." Okay!"

" What are we having?" Kiri answered, standing up from her spot and placing herself next to you." Veysom!" You smiled mischievously and she squinted her eyes at you." Oo, yay!" Tuk cheered and grabbed your hand." Okay, let's go!"

Tuk pulled you and began walking, she didn't know where she was going but you tugged her hand a bit to guide her." What is Veysom?" Tsireya asked, Kiri and her falling behind you.

" It's usually a spicy meat dish made from Sturmbeest or Hexapede." Kiri said to her, and you turned around walking backwards while facing them." We're gonna use fish this time."

For the rest of the way it was small talk, Tuk talking the most about her findings and Tsireya answering her questions about the plants she had found.

While walking back Tuk and Tsireya fell a bit behind, and Kiri leaned a bit closer to whisper to you." You're really petty sometimes you know." She side-eyed you as you shrugged, readjusted the ingredients in your hands." Maybe you're just too nice." She rolled her eyes.' Aonung apologized' You rolled your eyes in response.' It was a lame apology.'

" Whatever." She grumbled. You and Kiri might be twins, but your relationship was much like an aunt begrudgingly watching their annoying niece. She thought of you as too reckless and to you she was too cautious. You were close with her, she was like the other part of your soul, but your personalities constantly clashed with each other.

Once you reached the stairs to the clusters of Marui's Tsireya left towards her house." I think this will be able to replace-" Your left foot got caught in-between the holes of the ropes that made up the walkway. You instinctively put your hands out to brace your fall, dropping the ingredients in your hand into the water.

" Goddammit!" You scowled at the water below you." Are you okay?" Kiri asked and Tuk came over to help you up with her free hand." It's okay, we can just go back and get some more!" Tuk smiled at you, and you shook your head.

" I'll go, you go take what you have to mother." You gave a small smile, trying not to aim your annoyance at Tuk." Be careful." Kiri gave a small wave behind her head as her and Tuk walked back to your families Marui.

You huffed annoyed, cursing at the stupid flooring." Fucking rope." You mumbled to yourself as you adjusted your arm cuff." That was quite the show." Aonung's voice rung out into the relatively quiet area. You jumped a bit, before turning around and glaring at the boy." You scared the shit out of me!" You hissed and he only laughed. Turning your back to him you began to descend the stairs you had just come up from.

" Where are you going?" He asked, following you closely behind." To get the ingredients I dropped in the water." You answered, rubbing your toes in the sand." What are you making?" He asked, standing closer to you than you would've liked.

" Veysom, you want to try?" You gave him a sly smile, which he happily returned." I'd love to. What's this ingredient you're looking for?" He questioned.

" Spartan leaves and Hermit bud seeds. As well as this purple small seed that Tsireya calls I'Puwi." Aonung's ears perked up." I love I'Puwi." You cocked your head a bit at his response." Okay then, you can help me gather."

" Fine bossy." He grumbled under his breath, and you whipped your head towards him. You pinched his shoulder, but not hard enough to hurt him." Watch your mouth, fish lips." You scowled at him, and he rolled his eyes.

Once you had gathered what you needed again, you made your way back to your Marui. Aonung followed, watching in amusement as you took cautious steps over the holes in the walkway. You heard him laugh at you and your ears heated in embarrassment." What are you laughing at!" You snapped at him, and he raised his hands in the air.

" You." He snickered, and you stopped, turning around to look at him." Go home." You furrowed your eyebrows and he shrugged." Nah, I'm good." You scoffed, turning back to the front and stomping towards your home.

When you got there Aonung handed you the I'Puwi seeds and went over to Neteyam who was helping your father finish deboning the fish meat.

" (y/n), come help." Neytiri grabbed your arm, breaking your stare at Aonung." What needs to be done?" You squatted next to your mother and set the ingredients in your hands next to the others. " You make the sauce." She demanded and you held in the urge to scoff.

When it was finally finished it was time for dinner, you grabbed the food and left with your siblings to the campfire. You placed yourself next to Neteyam, Tsireya, Rotxo, and Aonung came into view." So, where's this Veysom?" Aonung asked, squatting next to you. Tsireya placed herself next to Kiri and she handed her a plate. Rotxo sat next to Aonung, who took a piece off your plate.

You watch him eat it, he seemed to be enjoying it until he started coughing after he finished swallowing it."...wow, spicy." He commented and Rotxo laughed at him, you pushed your plate towards Rotxo." Try?" You grinned at him, and he took a decent chunk of the sauce covered fish and placed it into his mouth.

He blinked a bit, clearing his throat a bit." Oh yeah, good and spicy." He agreed with Aonung who took a bit more off your plate. It was a good thing you grabbed extra because they were just diving right into it.

You took some Bladder Polyps on the side and dipped it in the sauce around the fish." Can't handle a bit of spice?" Lo'ak teased as he and Neteyam snickered to each other. Tsireya took a smaller taste from the plate Kiri had given her and shook her head." Oh, no thank you." She coughed and Kiri patted her back.

Aonung and Rotxo seemed to be struggling but they continued to eat the fish off your plate as you ate the Bladder Polyps on the side. You handed one to Aonung who took it and ate it. His eyes watering but he continued to eat it." This is really good..just spicy." He sniffed and you handed him the plate, you motioned for Kiri to hand you the other plate and you began to eat that one.

The rest of the night you sat next to Aonung, even after your siblings had left and continued to talk until Ronal called for Aonung. "Goodnight, (y/n)." He gave a small smile and wave." Goodnight." You responded, using the sweetest tone you had ever used towards Aonung. You got up, cleaning your area before heading off to bed.
