Freedom in Summer

Throwback to a shoot from the summer. With all of the snow we got, this picture really makes me miss those fun summer nights. 

Chasing Colors

Took this last week when I was driving around and when I saw how colorful the sky was I had to pull over for a shot. Luckily I tend to bring my camera almost everywhere with me so I managed to capture it. I love the colorful clouds and the small crescent moon in the top corner. It was a gorgeous sunset. 

Four Seasons 

I've been waiting a long time to make this image and I'm so glad to finally have it put together. It's amazing how different one tree can look in four pictures. This is one of my favorite places to go shoot, it really makes me miss going here on warm sunny days.

'Tis the Season 

In the spirit of today being December 1st and Christmas being 25 days away, I thought that I would put together a set of photos I took yesterday of some ornaments on my Christmas tree. I can't wait to be home for break in two weeks! 

Playtime in the Snow 

Last week during the snow storm I was able to take some pretty cute photos of my dogs Cooper (corgi) & Sam (basset hound). Cooper absolutely loves Winter and playing in the snow. He likes when you throw snow at him so he can try and bite it as you can see. Sammy boy on the other hand strongly dislikes the cold and snow, which is why he was upset and howling in the first photo haha. I love taking pictures of them and I'm so thankful for my two best buds. 

Snowfall 

Took these the other day when a storm hit. We got around eight inches of snow and I used my 200mm lens with a manual focus for these. It took me a few tries to get what I was looking for but soon enough I got what I wanted. I'm not a big fan of Winter but it makes for some nice pictures. Here are a few of my favorites! 

-November- 

Took all of these over the weekend excluding the Blue Jay which I took a couple of weeks ago. I thought I’d put together some photos that I captured throughout November into a photo set. I think they came out pretty well!

Something I put together using three different photos of mine to express how important it is to keep your imagination alive. 

-Amber Eyes- 

Took these yesterday of some horses near my campus. They were very friendly and let me take some shots of them. I really love the color of their eyes in the sunlight. It was the perfect time of day to capture these gentle giants.

Here's a nice macro shot of my eye in black and white. I like the glossy shimmer and reflection contrasting the darker shadows. I tried to convey a stronger sense of emotion through the picture by making it black and white. I got what I was aiming for. 

-Fly Birdy Fly- 

So this weekend while driving around and looking for things to photograph, I came across a lot of birds. Lucky for me, I was able to snap a few decent shots of most of them in mid-flight. 

While pulled over on the side of a road, a large flock of geese was in the field next to me. I started taking some pictures of them when all of a sudden they all took off flying. I'll admit it, I did freak out with excitement and I happen to have a friend on speaker who was able to experience my freak out first hand haha. I was so pumped to get a few nice shots of them flying. It was a good weekend for photography!
