It has one hard edge and the rest is soft, so it can be used like an airbrush or a paintbrush. I like it for blending and erasing too.

i'm late for terrible comic day

refusing to do more than the absolute most bare minimum skimming of blender tutorials because they're so overwhelming. As a result, stumbling through/brute forcing takes way longer and my strategies are janky and rough around the edges. But I'm still excited to make progress!! I will attempt to learn properly in tiny bites, eventually!!

This picture scared the hell out of me because my last step on it was "too good" and I got worried about messing it up and making it worse going forward. Life's also just been focused on non art things. I'm finally on ADHD medication and tonight it just felt natural to sit and possible to start drawing the details of the clothing which is usually super overwhelming.

I started painting that picture right. and realized halfway in. Man this feels all wrong. Went back to my sources of inspiration, did five or six tiny thumbnail paintings using the inspiration images as reference. Took my time doing a slightly more detailed exploration of one idea and now i'm feeling SO much more on the right track. Even if I change course a few more times, it's great just to realize I can. I'm even thinking of completing 2 separate versions, one painted like this and one just with lineart/flat colors.
