before captain marvel i never quite realised how toxic the concept of “prove it” is. if you like something that’s generally a “boy’s club” you are asked to prove your knowledge about it and in a way prove if you’re worthy to have it or not. if you just enjoy the thing you might not know everything about it and then you’re fake. if you say you could do something you’re asked to prove it no matter what and if you don’t you can’t do it.

“Question everything. Your love, your religion, your passion. If you don’t have questions, you’ll never find answers.”
