Left the monkey on guard last night. Fortunately he didn’t make too much of a mess. Supposed to be 37 degrees plus humidity today. 😳 Canadian Coast Guard ship is almost done, just waiting on final details … those might be tomorrow, depending on how hot it really gets in my space.

Working out possible colours in pencil crayons. It’s like thinking out loud. I’m pleased that the plaid shirt works ok, as I wasn’t sure it would. Some colour thinking while waiting for the gesso to dry.

Remiss in progress updates

I’ve integrated a CBTC Control Centre in the bottom left, so now there’s a piece on each panel. Panel two much clearer. First Panel Preliminary Sketch

Started the overall layout of the first 2 panels in pencil. This is a very draft view; though I know who all the persons are, in fact the faces are not yet accurately rendered here. This is still a placeholder view while I continue to work on it. I’ll update it in a few days with a more accurate rendering to include the correct facial features.

Love the Canadian Snow Geese

The snow geese are just beautiful, and even when I try to sneak up on them to get a close up photo, they all take to flight as a unit – filling the sky with flashes of light.There’re so many snow geese – thousands of them – that when they take to flight the completely obliterate the farmhouse from view. The noise of them is unbelieveable.
