Character in general:

Cue the noir soundtrack here. Before I start to crack down on things, let me just say that: oh man, your muse makes me want to revive a muse of mine who also happened to be a detective(R.I.P to him tbh). That set aside,  like the others, I start off with their backgrounds and etc because they more or less set the muse as a whole - and mostly because I’m not quite acquainted to Woobin/Hyun Joong, so y’know, but yes moving on.

Right, first of all, I want to say that I find Woobin to be a fairly interesting/intriguing muse, so props to you for that. I also want to pick at the fact that he’s somewhat bordering on breaking the typical go-to of this really neat and strictly law-abiding detective that I usually see around here (not saying that it’s bad, but seeing variations/different interpretations of these types of muses is always refreshing), I think that is one of the few things (pointing this out because I like that about him) that sets Woobin apart and adds to his own charm.  

So, /cracks knuckles/ here we go with his background/biography which is rather brief and abrupt - there is more to his personality than what makes him to be himself - who he is in the present day. In which I am aware that his written personality is somewhat of a general overview, but I’ll touch up on that later. There is not much for me to elaborate on, but I will still be thorough with this, once again i’m going to be copying/reiterating something I’d written before;

Before I begin and start rambling off more, I’d like to say that-;

Yes, biographies/backgrounds do not necessarily need to be really long and extensively detailed - as there can be a downside of it taking so much from the muse and giving a lot away. 

Yes, it is up to you as the mun/writer/creator of your muse/character whether certain information should be spelled out then and there or not, or whether you choose to reveal certain bits and pieces of them through self paras, headcanons etc, is all up to you

A brief biography/background is not bad, but - it needs to be concise/compact and detailed enough (significant details, that is) to capture the muse as a whole without dragging on one part of it more than the rest.

That being cleared out of the way, I’ll start ‘dissecting’ his background/biography. Alright, so we start off with a brief introduction - I am already questioning why his professional name is ‘Woobin’, though that will be something I’ll get back to a little later on. So we know he’s born on July, in Seoul. Then, not much else aside from a brief go-through of his education which ends in him being a consulting/private detective in the present time.

So, lets go back to the beginning - where everything starts. Right, I’ve said this once, and I’ll say it again, or more like rambling about it, but yes - everyone has a motive/reasoning, for everything they do don’t they? For example, the next time you get up for a glass of water (or whatever else, the subject don’t matter yo), ask yourself why you’re getting that glass of water. Now, you might be thinking “what that gotta do with woobin/muse” - but really, ask yourself why. So, you might think to answer yourself that, right, you’re just going to get yourself a glass of water because you’re thirsty.  Or because it’s probably really hot and you could do with a glass of water and cool yourself down.

Is there any deeper meaning to this? Not really.

But what do two of those (slightly differing) answers have in common? They are reasonings. And the reason I am highlighting this is because - Hyunjoong/Woobin is not really given a motive/reasoning for him to be who he is in the present time, other than that he’d met with a classmate’s father that initiated the whole spark of him wanting to pursue being a detective - in which, said classmate’s father was also given no background/brief description to give a reason as to why he’d done so to pursue his current career, because it seemed if that man (the father) had left such a great impression on him, there should be a little brief go-through of why it being so. Which can also be applied to his adopted alias/professional name being ‘Woobin’.

There is no definitive background given to him, other than that he’s born in Seoul on the 16th of July, graduated from Jeonju University,  and we also know he’s not in it all for the fame. And..what else?

It wouldn’t hurt to give him a brief background of his family/his upbringing. Was he raised in a strict household, who/what his parents were like - or was he raised with a single parent? What was their relationship like? Maybe a bit of a glimpse into his childhood too, maybe his father/someone in his family was also a detective and he grew to admire them - which inspired his passion to pursue his current career - so there’s this constant re-connection that’s part of what makes him to be who he is now today. You can experiment/expand with a lot of aspects.

I’ll top this off with another thing I’d written before;

 […..] often times when I came across a lot of muses, they tend to lack a definitive motive. As in, motive as to why they do what they do, what drives them to be who they are in the present time. Or it’s more so the lack of reasoning behind their motive as in - why is their motive x or y? You don’t necessarily need to elaborate these things, it’s actually quite basic but it’s also one of the most biggest roles that needs to be considered in your muse.

There is also no apparent build-up (other than graduating, etc)  to his current self in the present time - which makes it all the more hurried/rushed. Don’t be afraid to expand on your muse and write a lot, don’t be afraid to take a lot more time with your muse. He’s your muse after all, go crazy - explore, experiment! So i’ll also follow up with this since this is also relevant, and I don’t feel the need to reiterate myself;

Now, once again - expanding a lot more on his background would not hurt at all, honestly - he has a lot of aspects that you can play with. This is your muse, don’t be afraid to expand a lot of things with him, explore, experiment, don’t restrict yourself! Remember that your muse is also a person who has ambitions, dreams, goals - as we all do, the best way on asking yourself what you feel is necessary to be expanded on is thinking/seeing your muse as an actual person, question a lot of things about your muse - doesn’t matter what, your character should not simply be one-dimensional. After all, everyone is not one-dimensional, are they? And that’s one of the best things to play around with, there is so much to explore/expand on, It’s one of the key steps to creating a muse/character that is (somewhat, though doesn’t need to be extremely) realistic and believable.

Your muse can be a warlock to a vampire and still be believable - because their powers (and whatever else that doesn’t define them as your everyday mortal/human being) do not define them, in the end of the day, they are still a  person with many sides to them.

Alright, I’ll conclude that - he doesn’t feel unfinished, but that’s only because his background is really rushed/hurried that it mostly conquers the feeling. I found myself questioning a lot of things like - why does/did he want to be a detective? Honestly saying though, he could do a lot more with expanding, planning and a bit more to details. As with all the things I’ve wrote about other muses - do not be discouraged!

I genuinely do mean it when I say that Woobin is interesting/intriguing in his own way, and he also has a lot of potential to being more than for what he is at the moment - and that’s what character developments are for. There is no end to expanding your muse, and trust me, you will always discover new things about your muse - you just have to start questioning them a lot. What’s fun is that there’s a variety of things to be experimented with/discovered, so don’t restrict yourself!

Ah, I wish that I could go through a lot of your threads for a really definite opinion but I have not yet seen enough - though reading/skimming past a few headcanons here and there, I can say your portrayal is definitely brilliant! Keep up the good work. Despite my long rant of his background, this does not change my opinion of him being a solid muse (and I’m sure a lot of others can agree with me on this, heheh), good job, yo.

Honestly, I’m going to end up reiterating myself, but - without so much of me rambling once again, I’ll (kinda) try sum it up. I want to once more say that Woobin is definitely a good muse, I like your portrayal of him - you’ve got a solid grip of him/what a detective might be like, and you do incorporate the element of him being a detective, which might seem minor but often times I see muses using certain titles of occupations treating it all as some kind of accessory and almost never incorporate it into their muse or play it out. So props to you for that.

He has a lot of potential, and his background could do with a bit more expanding - all in all, he’s an all round muse and isn’t flat, I could also say he’s dynamic. And that’s part of what makes him a solid and believable character. Keep up the good job on the portrayal! I look forward to seeing more of your muse on the dash. Or more like whenever I’m actually around, whoops-

Lets see, I’ve went through every page of his and took the time peruse through things, and reread them, sorry that this was a little delayed! With that being said, lets move on with things, starting with the general overview page of his. Pretty compact, tells you a little bit about him, and is neat/easy to go through. There’s also a brief description of what he does - which is also helpful/convenient too.

As for his biography - there is not necessarily a lot for me to touch up on, because it’s rather short/abrupt.  Now, I just want to say that I genuinely do find gikwang to be interesting/intriguing in a way - though his biography kind of takes that attribution away from him. So we know that he’s had a more or less normal life, we know he’s from Naju, and we know he’s a determined person as well as a highly intelligent (or lets loosely put it as ‘a genius’) individual who’s academically successful but apart from that….not much else.

When I read his background/biography, it felt as if it was unfinished (pardon me if it is unfinished) - there are many things left out. So we know he has a relatively regular family, that he’s the eldest of his brothers and all - but as for a definitive background for his family, there is little to none. Though we can assume that they’re a regular family, and not much else. I think a little bit more of a background to his family wouldn’t do any harm, whether they’re middle class,  his father’s occupation, whether his mother’s a housewife or also working, his relationship with the family - are they close knit, etc. Just little tid bits that give a little glimpse into his upbringing. This part does not necessarily need a lot of expanding, just a bit would be enough.

Then we reach to the part where he is a hard worker,  determined and intelligent (to concisely list out a few attributes described/mentioned about him) and also a rather brief course through his academical years. And that’s about it. There is no slight go-through of his life - for example, were there times when he wanted to give up but his dedication push him to not simply give up? Was he a little bit of a troublemaker, or was he an austere student that dedicated most of his time with academics/studying? What were his ambitions/passion (since his occupation also involves with tech, it could’ve been a passion)? Were there any achievements he was going after? There’s also nothing mentioned of how and why (was it an ambition of his? etc) he has the occupation as an NIS agent/NOC driver for hire

Now, once again - expanding a lot more on his background would not hurt at all, honestly - he has a lot of aspects that you can play with. This is your muse, don’t be afraid to expand a lot of things with him, explore, experiment, don’t restrict yourself! Gikwang is in my opinion, a fairly interesting muse, however, he needs a lot to be done with him as he feels incomplete though definitely has potential, it just hasn’t been sharpened up yet - I also haven’t seen much to none interactions involving him, so there is not much I can say. Character in general:

So we begin with her background, cue me cracking my knuckles. First of all, I want to say that it is noticeable that you have took your time to write her background, and I want you to pat yourself on the back for that. Because I really appreciate seeing really thought out/detailed muses that do show that they have been made with care and attention to details - partially because I don’t see  a lot of muses/characters these days given the time they’re needed to be made (and thought out)  as well as the necessary details it needs (and also because I have a thing for details). So props to that!

Lets see, her background is concise - it has the necessary details, although there were few minor parts where you went off on a tangent, but nothing that would really make it a drag, although I will give you a point because you still managed to transition well enough in her background - despite some parts of it being a little jumpy, as in - one thing going to another. Though the pacing of her background is not too fast or too slow, it is somewhere in between - despite some parts being jumpy and rushed. 

Now for its content - there are quite a few things lacking or plot holes, which some could be passed off as minor for the most parts. The first one being that her parents lack a definitive background. What was her father’s job that kept him so busy? What is his background like? Is his family distant? Of course I am not saying that you should write a lot more of this - his work (as well as his family (other than sull hee and her grandma)) simply being hinted would suffice. There was also not much that depicted his personality other than him being a busy man and not having time for her, the part where he sends her off to her grandma also seemed hurried - which takes us to the beginning where I also felt it was a little rushed and it didn’t quite capture his emotions (as you try to do so after she’d been born) because of the slight rushed pacing.

That set aside, we move onto her mother. Not much is said about her, we know little of her background, and towards the end in which sull hee discovers her powers for bending, her mother’s and her grandmother’s background was….abruptly rushed. Her grandmother we know was a tai chi instructor and all, but apart from that - very little is said. Now, I do know that inspiration is taken from the avatar (the last airbender, legend of korra) series - so to those that are familiar to it (including those like me who have never really watched the series), they would know what ‘bending’ and ‘benders’ is, despite it being so - her mother/grandmother’s background is still not explained, no actual references have been made other than that we can see and conclude it is inspired/taken influence from the series. So there leaves this gaping hole in the background with no explanation - like I said, it would suffice to simply hint things without dragging it all down, but I felt as if this part was more tacked on loosely than something that actually does play a part in her background.

Her background is concise and compact, however it could use some improvement - don’t be discouraged, though! This is not me saying it is in anyway ‘bad’ - I still believe that you have taken your time into building it up,  though it only needs improvement and a bit more added to it. 

How they play them:

Ah, sull hee from what i’ve seen so far can be unpredictable - I like muses that are unpredictable, because it’s part of the charm, her charm. I haven’t written/read enough threads to make a full conclusion of your portrayal, but I’ll comment on a few things. Her aspect of being a water bender is included and played out upon without it taking precedence to the point of it basically being thrown at your faces for the heck of it, which is great, that and I don’t feel like she’s extremely overpowered or anything of that sort. Because some muses like these tend to be portrayed in a way that just shoves it all in your face.

Now, as for other things - it is stated that she is a nurse, though I don’t believe much is written about her job working as a nurse, and I’ve yet to see mentions of her instructing a tai chi class (since it was written in her background that she sometimes instructs), so it would be better if there was some balance to this.

Sull Hee is a fairly decent muse, she could use some touch ups here and there, but all in all, she’s great - not flat or one dimensional, and also has that quality which makes her believable, as in; her powers do not define her and make her this hella supernatural being that just disconnects from everything else. Though I feel like she does need more depth to her personality/character wise, but character development with moving plots would help, so I’ll just end this with saying she’s a qt and that I need to write more things with you, damn.

Oh wait, actually - before i really actually do end this, don’t be discouraged if some things I say kinda put you off, sull hee as a whole is not a ‘bad’ muse. She just needs a bit more time/things to grow, and i’m sure that you would improve in time (writing wise too),  she has the potential to be a kick ass muse so keep doing what you doin’

Character in general:

I promised you that I would put my opinions together of your muse/writing/portrayal sometime ago, whoops - I guess you could stamp this as part of the promise, aha. Alright, so - I took a bit of my time to reread/revise what you have written for Sera (her autobiography and stuff). There is not a lot I can say about 'accuracy' about the portrayal of the/her as an ('ex', putting it loosely here since I'd say she's still somewhat known) idol/personality wise since she's semi-au and all, so I won't be petty about that, etc. I don't follow along with a lot of groups these days whoops.

With that being cleared out, I'll start off with her background. I want to say that you did a good job of making it concise and compact, you didn't ramble off at one part and drag endlessly on what an awful tragedy her life is (we have all committed this sin once, I know I have, I'll admit that) which I constantly see as a pattern with a lot of muses and it becomes blase pretty quick, I can understand why people often opt to choose this kind of element - as it is more relatable to an extent. Now, I'm not gonna be hella petty and disregard her entire background as a whole simply because of a few elements/cliches. I genuinely think cliche's aren't 'bad' simply because they are cliche, they can be used as a foundation for a background/muse, so long as it is expanded on (also not having the entire story revolving around the cliche itself) and not simply left as a cliche.

I think Harry Potter's background is a good example (as well as his character), you know - the death of parents being part of the cliche, but does it make him a bad character? Of course not, here's why; sometimes some characters get bogged down by a particular element in their background (focusing on the more 'tragic' types) and are anchored down because they literally revolve around it so much that it doesn't give the character room to develop. Harry, however - as we see in the movies/read in books, grows, and is not simply just a kid with a tragic background with 'woe is me, woe is me' being thrown out for sympathy gain.

We tend to be drawn towards characters with certain elements because they are easily relatable in some ways - I mean, I can't for the life of me relate to a wizard but Harry is given more  than simply 'lol parents ded, kid with a weird ass scar on his forehead, also powers and wizard stuff!!!', but he is also a growing human being/boy - as seen with the challenges he faces and how he grows with them.

What I like is that Sera's background doesn't fixate on the death of her mother and the disappearance of her father. In her background, I can see that she grows outside (or from) it, and I could say that I feel as if she is constantly trying to grow and develop herself - with her pursuing what she truly wants and standing on her own two feet. So props to you for that, but, I find that there is a lack to her parents background.

Why did her mother's family not approve of her father/their relationship? There is very little said about her father - his family's background, what he was like, and so forth. I can understand his disappearance not being far too elaborated since it is written from her personal perspective and that the time being when it happened was when she was still quite young, however, there's a bit of an empty gap to him as a whole. As for her mother, not lacking as much - more so the background of her family to a slight (which is later hinted at as being pretty strict and restricted/stern). She's exempt from what she was like and all since Sera has very little memory of her and it wouldn't make much sense for her to ramble off a lot about her mother (family, company, etc) as the background is written in the form of a monologue.

But that aside, the background is overall concise, no long-winded rambling with no necessary point, no elements thrown in just for the heck of being "unique"/"edgy", just an ordinary girl in her twenties trying to find some kind of sense to her life - which is a simple concept, but still has its own particular touch to it. I also like seeing idols (in this case, 'ex') being portrayed out of their lifestyle as a celebrity - I don't see much of idols really being portrayed in a way outside of being happy-go-lucky types.

But yes, I think the background's written pretty well enough, it's exempt from a few things because of the way it is written.

How they play them:

Ahhhh where do I begin, right so I've not written with you a lot enough to form a definitive opinion so I won't comment much on this aspect, sorry! But that put aside, I mostly see casual interactions - nothing wrong with that, however I do wish I'd see more of her incorporating things like her making youtube videos, writing songs, making appearances at radio stations, etc being played out. Overall, I think she's lovely.

Overall Opinion: Decent but lovely muse, would recommend to those that are in search for a perfectly ordinary muse that has its own charm to itself - which is really lovely, simple, but concise. By ordinary, it  doesn't make her 'bad'! I'm saying this because a lot of people seem to think that they should make their muses past being ordinary for the heck of it, I like that she is simple but also has her own depth.

I've written quite a bit so I'm not going to ramble (too much) even further, but I'll touch up a bit on writing; so, I haven't read much - and for most that I can see in your current interactions and what we've written together so far, your writing is decent. I am not saying it is 'not good' - it is, if you can write sentences that make perfect sense, it is good.

Now, I remember you telling me that you felt that it wasn't good enough and you weren't satisfied with it, i'm going to give you the ultimate secret of writing really good: however way you feel that your style is written is, is good. If you're happy with what you wrote, even if a sentence, it is good. Keep in mind that you have to like/enjoy writing to 'write good' - there is no definite 'way' of making a writing 'really good', you see almost every book around you stamped 'best seller' but that doesn't mean you'd like the author's way of writing things, would you? Not necessarily, no.

The point I'm trying to make is, we have differing perspectives on what is 'good' - it is all perspective by the end of the day, while I believe your writing could use with improvements, it doesn't make it any less good. My advice is, allow yourself to be happy with what you've written once in awhile, pet yourself on the head, tell yourself you've done a good job. Read, read, read, read! And fall in love with words, take it out to dinner, make out with it - do what makes you happy with your writing. Sitting and comparing yourself will not have you progress further. This also applies to anyone reading this: you are good, you are brilliant, keep doing what you do.

Also MOST IMPORTANTLY: fuck 90% of do's and don'ts of writing (unless it's about grammar, spelling, punctuation)

Ah yes where do we start with Baekhyun, I still remember reading his background for the first time. In fact, I'm rereading it at the moment so I can have a much more clearer- elaboration on him if I could put it that way. Now in his background, it is his inclination towards the macabre or "twisted" that becomes his basal reasoning behind his now present motivation that leads towards his serial killings. Which is plausible, however- one thing I have to pick at though is I find that there's something lacking in this reasoning, as in - why does he have this obsession? It's not really explained - and i'm not saying that he needs a two paragraph explanation either. I would assume he's a psychopath (since i do remember reading psychopaths are said to have their own 'quirks' that differs their childhood from someone else who is deemed 'normal')  since you described his upbringing to be perfectly well and fine in his later childhood (after his biological mother had left him to be with another family), then there's the mention of his growing interest towards peculiar things in his childhood that continues to grow - my only slight pet peeve is that this is not hinted at (of course, i'm not saying you've to have 'hE'S A GOTDAMN PSYCHOPATH' in a 40 px font).

So then we move to his first kill (victim being his girlfriend) - which was accidental, and this;

" [...] What saved him from possibly being caught by the police was the fact that he applied for Journalism way before the accident happened.... "

Alright, I am going to admit that I was confused when i read this part, what did he do to evade arrest? Then there's nitty things like witnesses, etc - though  excuse the fictional crime/homicide geek within me, i'm confused as to how his career as journalist had saved him as there is no- given reason/explanation that is hinted at. Then there's general, and pardon me, lack of sense to this - though this is partially because I am confused. It could be better improved with a slight elaboration!

Aaand lastly, first of all, I want to say that the idea of a journalist serial killer recording his own little escapades with his murders to create his own stories is actually pretty fascinating - there has actually been an actual journalist who'd attempted this, but soon got caught. Here's why: it was because he was particularly too detailed in the stories he published that he caused suspicions. Why am I putting a slight highlight to this? Well, the idea itself is not bad - though remember that even the slightest details (what details he chooses to publish, the manner he writes his articles, the time they're published so as to not seem suspicious, etc) do play a role in his 'side career' here too, especially when he's evading from being caught and all.

On a side note, part of why I highlight little things like these is because - with muses that do play realistic themes like Baek, I would (and others too) would expect a slight degree of realism, I'm not expecting you to go on a full rundown on psychopaths and analyze every single detail, no - though enough research will also go a long way, even if a bit.

With that being said, Baek is an all round muse that is not flat - only lacks a bit of things, and his background could use a little bit more improvement, but overall, he's decent. Keep up, do your thang.

How they play them:

Hmm, from the little bits and pieces I've seen/read so far - I think you're doing pretty well enough in portraying him. You do incorporate the element of him being a serial killer,  without it going into needless rambling of his thoughts that just drag on to unnecessary lengths (as in, really blase things that just throw you off). When this perspective comes to being necessary as it is being played, it is written in a way that gives a slight insight within the mechanism of his mind, what he thinks, how he works, his modus operandi.

However, I would also like to see (more) of him within his career as a journalist (writing the articles, on a job, etc) as I think there also needs to be a balance of him being a serial killer, as it should not be the only thing about him being stressed/played out, outside of him being a serial killer and is seen as every other typical everyday citizen. 

The Mun: ahh yes the mun, we haven't really talked much as of late, whoops -  though we have not talked much the last time, I find that it was pretty easy to crack down with plotting things, overall, I think you're an overall lovely person.

All round good muse, again, could do with slight improvement - though would recommend to try seeing if Baek suits your fancy.

i. The bane of his existence are in the forms of repeated mistakes.

In turn they leave marks marring dirty hands and scabbing fingers, they never heal because he picks at the frayed skin peeling off the flats of his knuckles. He tries counting each scar he’s marked with and closes his eyes, but loses count less than a minute later. So he finds himself glancing at the carpet of still, wispy clouds filtering through the cerulean sky. Listening to the quiet hum of the airplane’s engine, and lifts his sleeve to reveal a Patek Phillipe watch and takes note that it would be another hour or two before he arrives in Budapest.

Not that it matters. Time no longer flies past, insomnia supersedes the ticking hands of clocks.

i.There's something about her. Not a lot, not anything that screams like extraordinary spelled out with bolded letters in eye-searing yellow. But it's something. There's a lot of somethings to quiet women (see noun: that woman with short hair he's been watching for the past 25 minutes) that chooses to seclude herself at a table in the far back section of a dingily lit bar that smells like cheap cigarettes and regrets drowned in pints of weak beer. Her coat is far too big and she's half swallowed in her clothes, hands shoved deep into pockets as if she's got something to hide. 

Then there's that indecipherable (see definition: he doesn't quite have a reason at all) compulsion to try excavate underlying answers beneath the impassive look in her eyes, past countenance shaped soft as the dyed brown tendrils that falls past onto her smooth forehead.

She's crushed daisies, growing out of the crack-coiled patterned sidewalks.

It's close to midnight. He's sitting a few tables away from her and she's alone, her eyes are hazy - not with tipsiness. She had that kind of murky look people have when they try to look past the mist curtained future.

He knows because he's seen it before. Seen it in his mother.

They're both alone and there's some kind of unspoken mutual comfort in this silence. There is no scripted welcome, only acceptance.

ii.There's something about people with dead eyes.

They try to be ghosts, and recede into static noise, reveling in the inconspicuous corners of the room you're in, and paint the walls in stark white silence and try to hide. They are the fragmentary thoughts of disembodied voices in your head and the jagged pin-pricking feeling of someone staring at you when you're alone.

It's an incongruous mixture of paranoia and unsettling comfort. Everyone knows about the dead but-

No one really sees the dead.

But the dead see one another, and recognize each other through their own silence with some sort of quiet familiarity that has somehow always been there.

He doesn't remember.

Doesn't remember how, when - and he's lacking a why. But he doesn't question it. Neither does she.

She smells like musky potpourri left out in the sun and damp earth. Her hair is auburn,  curly locks fall softly onto gently sloping shoulders. Her eyes are abysmal voids, and they're staring into eyes that are equally hollow and impassive.

They're trying to find some kind of semblance of an excuse in each other when they're both empty. It's like trying to find hope at the bottom of a cliff by jumping off the ledge. 

They're not really tipsy and he's got her hands on her hips.

Cue "I was drunk." as an excuse the next morning, and then cut to the scene of him leaving and her naked spine exposed turning to face him just before he walks out of the door.

iii.There are no promises to be made. He never makes promises - they're spoken debts and- he can't afford to compensate broken affairs. So he lies. (Because he's learnt that honesty is merely an accepted lie. Counterfeit paid with more counterfeited returns.)

So then they're always left to be printed on weekly obituaries, as words are left to die in throats, to rot and become memories that soon turn to resentments. To be-

Kisses are sometimes habitual hellos and transient goodbyes, sometimes they are homes built with sharp teeth against the recesses of thin, jagged collarbones and leaves inscribed promises with hues of dark purple and splotched black and blue across pale planes of bare skin.

They are tender as they are violent. They're violent with connotations words cannot interpret. It's more than just a lack of lexicons and synonymous meanings.

She's drawn closer when soft flesh finds the warmth of another, his hands are on her waist and he has her lips pressed to hers. It's suffocating to breathe.

They part lips, and she's got the violent hues of a promise written all over her face. His promise.
